Stainless is always better than aluminized. Also there are 2 grades of stainless used for exhaust, T-409 and T-304. T-304 is the best and is what Corsa, Borla, and the top tier of MBRP uses

For a good T-304 system, expect to pay close to $1000

Don't use the Aluminized tubing...do your self a favor and do Stainless.

I grew up in western NY and experienced that aluminized is not as good as stainless.

Stainless you won't regret it. He says aluminized because he wants you back in 4-5 years for another exhaust system. Bet you that Mustang he has never has seen a winter.

Stainless is best.

I would think even IF there is a coating and it gets scratched off, its still "stainless" steel. So it'll never rust. But I could be wrong.

I have the magnaflow catback kit in stainless steel and I really like it. No drone and it sounds great.

It will be completely rusted through in less then years... Made that mistake back in highschool.. Suck up and pay more for the stainless

In this case, going for Stainless Steel is only the best option that you have. I suggest you to go for 400 series, say 410 is generally used for the hot section. May be this can solve your problem.

I bought a Gibson cat back that's supposed to be stainless and it's already showing signs of surface rust. It looks worse then the rest of the 11 year old exhaust that's still on the truck. Granted I only paid $300 for it so I doubt it's quality stainless. I didn't see an option for better quality in the one I wanted. It sounds amazing though.
