This poll is to see how the aftermarket HID lights (kits or retrofit) are performing regardless of the cause of the problem.

I'm actually removing mine today. I've never had so many issues with ddm kits. 3 of the 4 ballasts have gone bad, in 3 weeks!! Sending all the crap back until I can afford a couple morimoto kits or VLEDS

I'm going back to halogen for a while now. I've had issues with condensation in my headlamps and fog lamps. Possibly just a bad fit from the HID's

No condensation with halogen bulbs??

Never had an issue with the factory halogen bulbs letting moisture in. Going to swap it tonight. We'll see how it goes

The condensation issue is well reported with users of all styles of lighting.

As far as HIDs go, my Morimoto kit has been flawless.

My DDM kit just started giving me issues. Never had a single issue with my Ebay kit I had in the headlights and fogs of my old Yukon and I had them in for a year and a half before selling the car. I barely had these in for 6 months. Now they don't always want to turn on. Started happening right when temperatures started to get cold here. Not sure if the temps and my issues are related but they both occurred around the same time.

My HIDs don't always want to turn on right away. Good thing I got the new DOT pods from rigid otherwise I'd be driving blind.

Can't wait for my LMZ bulbs to come in from VLED. Hopefully those will stay issue free

Let me know how those VLED bulbs do for you. I know they'll be bright, I'm just concerned about the distance they are capable of reaching.

And with this order, I've had 3 ballasts go bad and one of my high beam bulbs break one of the tabs off. On my 02 I've had them in for 2.5 years with no issues. These have been an issue per a week since I've installed them

I am having issues with my really sticking on. Passenger headlight stays on when everything else is off. I am on the 3rd relay which the right stayed on only once a day in the morning 3 days straight. The last 4 days woking fine. TRS told me to swap sides again to see if it happens with the other side. I was going to try a relay from the store but it doesn't fit in the waterproof cube. Also when temps dropped to 0 and below I had issues of the opposite headlight failing to start on the first try. Happened 3 or 4 times. It hasn't happened since temps warmed up some.

I've had some relay issues as well. I think my issues are related to moisture entering the relay. Two things I suggest; first, use a liberal amount of dielectric grease to help around the rubber seal of the relay. Put it in around the base of the connector too. Also, make sure it's mounted with the connector down to prevent water from running into the relay enclosure.

A Hella 007794301 relay will plug into the TRS harness. But I don't know if that will improve anything. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=hella+relay+007794301

I've had my DDM kit flicker once in a while. Or one light would go out. Tonight though the lights will not come on at all. Out they come tomorrow, I can't have a truck without headlights. Too bad to because there twice as bright as the stock bulbs.

Yeah to be honest I'm not too impressed with trs' relay harness. I'm going back to a single relay system like I put on my Acadia. Haven't had an issue once with it in 3 years.
