What did you trade-in to get your truck...

Traded my 2006 Nissan Xterra with 149,500 miles and too many mods to list. I bought it brand new and loved every mile of it...no problems at all except for the 12mpg (pretty much what I expected with a 6" lift and 34" tires). But I used it like a truck and figured if I wanted something else - that I needed to trade before I hit 150K. I wouldn't hesistate to buy another Nissan, but I felt like the Titan body style has gotten tired and I really wanted a full size. Still kinda miss my X.

I don't trust myself with a fast car or any car. I used to get into a lot of trouble in a truck so I don't think I want to know what stupid stuff I would have done in a V8 Camaro. I'm a lot better now since getting my CDL back in '05 but I still didn't trust myself then and I still don't think I can trust myself now. Plus I would rather have a classic muscle car anyways.

Haha you just have to be smart and know when its time to play. When I first got the car I had a undercover detective in a Toyota Camry follow me to my apartments gate and tell me "If I ever see you driving like that again I'll arrest you". That was the most trouble I got in to. Now on the flip side I pulled up next to a Alabama State Trooper on the highway, he rolled down his window, gave me thumbs up and said "Awesome Car!" So, I then down shifted floored it up to about 100mph and the trooper was loving it and buddy in the passenger seat was just floored I could get away with that. I just looked over and said "American Muscle, cops respect it."

2014 Jeep Wrangler.

I love the jeep but my wife and I had only planned on 2 kids and after having Jeep for 3 months we found out she was pregnant [emoji33] so I upgraded in my opinion since this is my 5 gm truck. d57976a426f92d86574fef75aac114fe.jpg THEN

Well my problem is that I don't always know when and where to play around. Let's just say most of the cops in my town knew me and my 98. I'm surprised I never lost my license from the things I got caught doing, but I had a good enough lawyer and the time I got caught racing another Silverado luckily the cop let me off with a verbal warning. I can't blame all of that stuff I did on this, but it had to have something to do with it. I'm bi-polar so I would do things before thinking about it. I'm on meds now but I still don't know if I would trust myself with a muscle car modern or classic. I think if I had a classic muscle car that I would want to take care of it like I do with my '14. If I had anything newer than the muscle car era then I would probably drive the hell out of it. Not has bad as I would have a few years ago, but I still would.

I will assume you have to climb in the back completely to strap the baby into the car seat with that lift... Looks good BTW

Well now that toddler seat and refacing infant seat can fit behind driver and passenger seat and 6 year old booster goes in middle no climbing in like we would with infant seat only fitting in middle like jeep. Plus with all car seats in the booster for my 6 year old hung over seat 4" and I did not like that at all!!!

Traded in a 2007 Avalanche.

Really liked the versatility of that truck... earned a REAL appreciation for it last summer when I took a cross-country road trip, and was able to flip the back wall down and nap in the back. Can't do that in the Sierra... :/ Had they offered a new Avalanche on the new truck platform, I'd have gone that route instead.

That said - I still love my Sierra and would do it over again if I had to.

Sold my 2003 Silverado 1500 4x4 - 5.3L Extended Cab, Short Box, Z-71 with 145,000 miles. That truck took almost no maintenance, ran like a champ, and was fun to drive. A bit of rust on one door that would have been a fairly cheap fix.

With kids getting bigger and suicide doors allowing some wind noise, I decided it was time for a crew cab.

Ignore the fanboy. Nice ride. I've never seen that stripe pattern. Different. MUCH better than some secretary's grocery-getter econobox.

Too bad you didn't keep it. I kept mine. WAY too much fun to sell.

Oh you traded in a slo-maro. Lol sorry I had to coming from a GT500.

Well easy to say that since it's a V6 Camaro. Not saying a V6 pony car is gutless, but I wouldn't sacrifice so I'd have to have a V8 in any car. Same for my trucks lol. But to be fair, how much did that GT500 cost ya compared to a Camaro SS lol. I like all 3 of the big 3, but Shelbys can cost a lot of money. I'd rather get a Mustang GT and mod it up. Could make it faster for cheaper than the GT500 lol. Same for modding a Camaro SS to be faster than a ZL1.

At the end of the day, I'd rather have a classic muscle car rather than a modern pony car. I have a feeling I would take care of a classic a lot better and maybe it would make me not want to drive it into the ground like I did my last truck. I would have to upgrade to a FI system though.

New here.

Just traded my 2002 Avalanche (150,000 miles) on a 2015 Sierra double cab a couple days ago. Was planning on a Canyon this summer but couldn't pass up the deal that made the double less expensive than the Canyon.

Also thought the Avalanche was perfect for my uses and would probably would have bought another. Other than blowing out the brake lines 55 miles away from home never had a major problem. Great truck.
