What did you trade-in to get your truck...

2003 Ford Explorer 4x4, 99,950 miles - yep, just missed the 100k mark! Didn't plan on buying that day, just worked out that way.

It was a great, trouble-free vehicle since I bought new in mid-2003. But it was time for something newer.

07 GMC Sierra SLT 2500 duramax, 178+K of trouble free miles and fun. It was just time to change and I just couldn't justify the cost of a new truck that matched it so I went down to the 1500.

2011 Kia Sorento

Traded a 2007 Long bed, standard cab Chevy work truck to get that. Nice to be back in a truck.

Traded a 2012 VW Jetta TDI in on my recently purchased 2015 Silverado LT Rally 2. Still adjusting to the massive increase in fuel consumption lol.

I had the 6.2 in the Caddy and have the 5.3 with a Diablew tune in my Sierra

Power is very close between the two

Escalade has more side to side sway in the wind due to the soft suspension.

Auto leveling and the ride was nice though

If that's the case, there was something really wrong with that 6.2L you had. The 5.3 doesn't come close to that 6.2L monster.

Actually look at what they're in. The 6.2 was in a heavier SUV, plus he said the 5.3 has a tune so that wakes up the 5.3 a lot from what I've read on here. So nothing was wrong with the 6.2 he had, was just in a heavier vehicle.

Traded in a 2008 Corvette, pretty big difference in daily driving feel but the fuel economy is the same.

I traded in a 2012 GT500 and my truck gets about .5 mpg better.

2003 Silvy w/215k on her and original brake pads with zero (that's 0) issues. Sometimes I'm sad to not walk out to that one. But then you drive the new one to work and all the noise is gone!
