Does everyone feel like they can feel every road imperfection through the steering wheel?

It just seems like I could run over a fly and feel it in the steering wheel.

Is this a normal feel for the trucks?

18" or 20"?

20"'s and 22" have less sidewall and will therefore transmit all bumps more easily. One of the main reasons I had them take the 20's off the truck and put 18's on.

I have got 18". I could understand with 20" or narrow tires. I am aired down to around 33. Just so sensitive

Strange how the same trucks can be so very different.

18" SR-A's with 33 psi, and I don't now, and have never felt squat in the steering wheel. Even in the summer when the air is up around 35-36.

I could feel a penny if it were laying in the road. Sometimes when the setting sun is just right I can see the "ripples" in the pavement and that's when I got a little less stressed out about it being a mechanical problem. I think it's got something to do with the electric power steering feel along with the trucks being stiffer. Now, the vibes I get on coast down after letting off throttle I believe to be something else. Rear ring gear lash, drive shaft, prop shaft, who knows?

I do not think I would feel that in my deuce and half.

Yeah this has been discussed a LOT on this forum. This is a pretty typical attribute of this truck.

I've got a Honda I've had since 1998 with 215/35ZR18 tires and stupid stiff suspension where I can fell a #10-32 nut in the road, so to me this thing has no bumps feeding back through the wheel. For that reason I might not count. haha

2014 gmc all terrain package had constant vibration in the steering wheel after complete rear end replaced also test drove 2015 gmc all terrain package it also had vibration problems ( $ 47,000 truck ) I have a 2013 gmc 2500 slt with no vibrations .
