Do you have a link to that post? I cant seem to find it. I will probably have mine modded anyway. After my own experience with Halogen vs real HID I would go with HID anyday over my Halogens. You do pay more, probably $1,000+ but with all the night driving I do and the amount of deer in the ditches its almost needed.

I made the post in question. HERE it is. My truck is the Black 2015 Denali with the 7" Lift.

I have a drop-in HID kit from TRS and it works great.

I took a gander at that post. The full retrofit still has a better look than the drip in kit. The drop in is still better than stock for sure. If the retrofit was done better and more Level it would be perfect

its just not worth the cost in most peoples opinions. throw in some hid bulbs/ballasts and use the rest of that money for amp boards, tint, rims......

Yeah the money could easily be placed elsewhere. I do about 70% of my driving at night and the headlights really make a difference. The area I drive from one town to another is heavily populated by deer and the HIDs tend to have a wider viewing angle while still putting out alot more light.

I have only seen one post of a 2015 Denali in Stone Blue Metallic? Is there a reason these are not very widely available. It is probably my favorite color and will probably be ordering it in that shade if possible.

you dont have the tow package? If not, the 6.2 8sp would be just fine with what I would need to tow. I live in North Dakota so there are very few large hills to climb. Would like to take my camper to montana someday.

Nope, I don't have Max tow.. 3.43 geared LT w/Z71

I looked up stats on the camper I'll be picking up and it only weighs around 5,000 poundS. with the tow rating at around 9k+ it should tow just fine.

I've read alot where people tow 9k+ without issues with the 5.3 6sp.

I've been looking at buying a new pickup for awhile now. It has always been between Ford and GM. After looking and driving both I realized that the GMC Sierra is more of what I am looking for.

I do have a couple questions. I will be towing a shorter 19' camper and a 21' wake boat. I've been hearing that you cannot get the 6.2 8sp with max tow package. Is this still the truth even if truck is ordered? **(Has been answered. No Max tow available in Denali)**

next question, in my current vehicle I swapped out my whole headlight housing from halogen projectors to HID projectors and noticed a huge difference. Does the Denali come with HID headlights or just Halogen? I already know that you cannot put HID bulbs in a projector housing. **(Answered, Comes with Halogen bulbs and is a forum in the Troubleshooting that details difference in plug and play, retrofit, and stock)**

Last question, If you install a lift kit, does it void the warranty?

Im sure I will have more questions as time goes on. **(Answered, will void warranty and should not lift due to Magnetic Suspension on the Denali)

- A New question that came up is about the blue color. Stone Blue Metallic I think. Ive only seen one Denali on this forum that is that color. Is it still available? How come more people do not have this color?

I'm in agreement with you lighting housing assessment. One of my biggest pet peeves is idiots who drop in HID kits without any consideration to others who share the road with them. Most of them don't even attempt to aim them correctly.

As others have mentioned, possibly other threads..... It isn't whether or not a truck has the power (and rating) to pull a trailer that matters. Well it does matter, but not so much... What really matters, is the tow vehicle having the mass to control the load it is pulling. Tires also matter, greatly. E rated tires make a world of difference, but they kill ride comfort. 2500's come with E rated tires, 1500's do not. In my experience, there is a threshold at around 7500 pounds where the larger truck should be used for towing.

Stone blue is a very nice color, if you like blue. Three was a Denali in that color at a dealer the other day. It had the 22" spoke black wheels. Look surprisingly good to me. I don't really care for blue, but this truck looked good enough for me to consider changing my build sheet from Sonoma red to Stone Blue.

Yeah I looked at my trailers and max they would be around 5k pound. A 1500 will work for me until I decide to get a bigger camper.

Yeah I saw the blue in person and loved it. Too many people go white or black ;)

I ordered a stone blue Denali over the weekend. The dealers want to stock black and white Denalis. In my area, the are very few stone blue sierras.
