K and n flows great but if you read them, they do not filter dust or dirt, you need a prefilter.

Have to agree. I've used k&n filters on some vehicles I've owned a 98 Z71 01 s-10 blazer & 07 impala. Compared to the other ones I did not put a k&n filter in 06 jeep wrangler 03 expedition the intake tubes throttle body's maf sensors all had a gritty nasty film.

I started putting them on the last few vehicles. My F150 saw a 1mpg or so better average and my 14 silverado see close to a 1mpg increase. The way I figure it is, a paper filter cost 15-20 bucks on these and you replace it twice a year. K&N i think cost me 40 bucks. So after a year its paid off. 1 mpg increase over 12k miles a year is a $200 savings, times that by 5 years, with mileage and filter savings its about 1200 bucks.

can you be a little more specific on this? so you buy the filter and its 20 percent off?

I'm old fashioned. I prefer a brand new clean filter once or twice a year than cleaning the same filter and using it forever. Plus I've heard of people reporting oil in their intake tube from the oil on the K&N filter. I don't know they don't seem worth it to me but to each his own.

An air filter CAN"T improve mileage on a computer controlled vehicle. Better air flow has nothing to do with mileage. Anyone who claims a mileage increase with a K&N is only fooling themselves, K&N will not make any claims on mileage..

Well I have multiple vehicle improve on the DIC and hand calculation with MPG and know many others. so your your wrong.
