Anyone tried to fit a 295/60r20 trail grappler with just a leveling kit? Just curious how much trimming would have to be done.

IMO. I would imagine it would depend on a few factors. Such as; wheel width, wheel backspace and wheel offset.

Plus you could check out this, lots of info in there.

Thanks. I've been through every page on that topic and don't remember seeing anyone with that tire size.

I am running a 20x9 +18 5.75 backspacing. Talked to discount tire today and they are going to get a 295/60 and test fit to see if they will work also bringing in a 295/55 if the 60's don't fit.

I have 295/60/20 on stock rims. They are Toyo at 2. Think I remember seeing that the nitto are a little bigger. I havea slight vibration probably a little rub on my control arms or back corner . I have a tgc 2.5 level kit. If they are a little bigger you may have more rub than me. Or possibly contact and trimming needed.

That is cool of them to do. Not a lot of places will do that, at least around here, unless they happen to stock one of those sizes already. I hope that it works out for the tire size that you looking to get with no rub.

the nitto's will rub if there tire specs are true. I was looking at the size in the toyo at2 which is significantly smaller according to the spec sheet. anyway a 275/65r 20 is 34.1 inches and it rubs but you can pull the fender liner back. I think the you would have to do some liner trimming too fit the nitto.

I have Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/55R20 on my 2014 All Terrain. No lift and no problems. Tires now have 33,000 and have worn great. Work well off road and in heavy snow. I used to run BFG A/Ts on my Yukon XL 3/4 ton and like the Nittos much better. A slight rub when hard over and reversing, but only rubs the synthetic liner a little and no damage. Have been off road with them a fair amount and again no rubbing problems other than cosmetic to then liner inside the well. Didn't install lift b/c dealer didn't get it in when they had truck ready with tires, etc. I just ran with it, and have never bothered to get the lift installed. Also, allows me to get into a certain parking garage that the lift would keep me out of.

Do you have any pics. Im wanting to get the same exact tires on my factory wheels and was curious what they look like on yours. Thanks

Well I ended up going with the 295/55R20. Discount brought in the 295/60 but after doing some research I knew there would be some substantial rubbing, so I didn't waste the time to have them test fit them. I go off road occasionally and decided I didn't want to trim at all so I chose the 55's. There is no rubbing that I can see...I believe I could have gone with the 305/55R20 without issue, but I haven't had a chance to crawl under the truck and see how close I am to the sway bar. Here are a couple of pics.
