2014/2015 One piece key fob/Key

I've had my 2015 Sierra for a week and the key fob bouncing off the column is already driving me nuts. It's easily my biggest complaint so far.

I ordered a silicone/rubber keyfob jacket for mine. The banging against the column was driving me crazy, too.

Wow, I thought I was the only one with the key fob hitting the column and driving me crazy! I put stick on Velcro there to stop it, seems to have helped the issue.

 

I live down a dirt road with lots of ruts so it can get quite loud, not bad once I get on the pavement.

I stuck on a little black rubberized anti-skid pad I found in furniture felt section of Home Depot. Color and texture matches pretty well.

 

Almost 20 years ago I had a K1500 that had a rubber pad built into the column to prevent this from happening. Seems like it became a victim of cost cutting.

My 2000 & 2006 Tahoes had this issue as well. Not sure why they've never considered it as a problem.

I'd love to have a flip key I had one on my last car it's so much more convenient but, like others said I tried the key from my dads terrain and it is right in the way of the shifter.

This is a piece of 2 inch wide felt with a sticky side on the back. Works great. Had it in my 2014 Chevy and not in the 2015 Sierra. Can't hardly see it...

I had some left over foam from my tonneau cover. Works nicely.
