Windshield wiper blades

On my 2011 Avalanche, the original factory wipers worked excellent until a couple of weeks ago. Went and got replacements from NAPA. The guy I talked to said that they were the quality of factory replacements. Installed them, and the were just as bad if not worse than the old ones! Does anyone know the OEM brand and style for this year of truck? If there is something better, let me know. What did you guy's buy for replacements?

GM replacement wiper blades at your Chevy dealer parts counter. The part numbers are in the maintenance/specifications section of your owner's manual. But the GM/AC Delco replacement blades aren't cheap. Mine cost $22 each. In my experience, they last about 2-3 years. Better than the Wally World cheapos that last 1 year at best. In the past I have also used Bosch's best wiper blades with good results.

these work really well - about $18 at wallyworld, last well over 1 year

there is a clip that pulls easily off the mount (not needed) and it will go right on like oem ...

I believe, and I could be wrong on this, that the OEM blades for the GMT-900s were made by PIAA. If not them then definitely Trico. But I think they were PIAA. I can't believe how mine are wearing. I'll be at two years in August, they are surviving like iron. I bought a couple of OEM replacements from group1autoparts.com last year just to have on hand because I was scared that GM would switch suppliers to make more money. These OEM blades on my 13 are the best I have ever had, by far.

If the new wiper blades don't help, your wiper arm may be done. I replaced the wiper arm on my son's truck and it was an amazing difference.

I guess the spring on the inside of the arm loses it's strength over time and the arm does not make good contact with the windshield. I paid I think, $25 for a new wiper arm through Amazon. Took about 15 minutes to replace. Money well spent.
