...after enabling the function in your radio settings, you just unlock truck as normal and press unlock again and hold five seconds. The windows will go down after that.

And here I was thinking that this feature wasn't available. It's not in the manual (that I could find) but sure enough the setting is there. Turned on the feature and it works like a charm. Thanks!

Unfortunately the feature is turned off by default from the factory. You have to find the feature in the settings to turn it on, and I don't believe those directions are found in the manual. Don't have the manual at my fingertips at the moment, though.

Little cons:

-No dome light switch/single function.

-Radio is a screen and not a radio.

Little pros:

-Trailer brake controller is awesome.

-Cloth interior is fantastic compared to GMT 900

-Wide angle mirror blip in driver's side mirror.

I second the rear air vents! Keyless entry and engine start would have been a nice touch from GM too!

When my truck had 250 miles on it, I replaced the rear cargo light bulbs with LEDs- when I removed the cargo light housing, the paint was scratched to bare metal in three places- 3 of the 4 corners had eaten through.

I can't really fault GM for the paint though. It's the damn EPA.

While I agree that waterbourne paint is causing problems for all makes, you shouldn't hate on the EPA too much. Just google some images of smog in China to see what life is like without anti-pollution regulations. At least we can go outside without a mask.

For $40-50k, a truck could be painted with multiple coats like the German luxury brands do, and the paint would be OK.

My bluetooth decides when it wants to work, sometimes it just unlinks my phone and relinks during conversations. The back up camara staying on for 10 seconds after I put it in drive makes me sick too haha.

Get your truck back to the dealer for the IntelliLink updates. I had some real quirky issues with mine when I first bought it and the huge April update straightened a lot of it out.

No one touch up for passenger window

Paint is "soft", scratches and chips way to easy

No rear vents

Headlights are pretty bad

Headlight update available for the earlier build trucks. Go see your dealer, ask about PIT5374. Software flash will increase voltage and they will install Vosla bulbs. Not perfect - but much better.

You can't point the finger of blame solely at the EPA. A) We elected those morons in the first place, so we have to shoulder that portion of the blame and B) they're kind of protecting us from ourselves - without some of the regulation, things would be significantly worse than they already are.

For $40-50k (WHAT I PAID), a truck ~~could~~ SHOULD be painted with multiple coats OF REAL PAINT like the German luxury brands do, and the paint would ~~be OK~~ NOT BE WATERCOLORS

Or, I could sand it and repaint it myself with actual paint like they use in our luxury-themed southern neighbor, Mexico.

Could you, do you have those skills? It's a rare skill to have if you don't have a paint shop, and if you do, you're required (or soon will be) to use waterbourne paint.

Once the small shops are converted over, it will even be hard to find the solvent-based paint. Who would supply it? Just like lacquer, try to find automotive lacquer today.

(And note, Germany required waterbourne paint before we did.)

I am so sick of taking this thing back to the dealer. They still can't even get my transmission to stay in gear.

Not sure what the dome light thing is. Mine has a rocker switch up top that says "on-door-off", so you can turn it off.

I've had my truck for all of 3 days, but already found some annoyances.

1. Why can't I turn my cargo light on while I'm in drive? I like to check my load from time to time.

2. Why didn't they put my current speed on the same screen that shows the speed limit in the dash cluster?

All in all, awesome truck, just those couple annoyances for now.

Do you know how many times I've driven behind idiots with their cargo lights on and shining in my face? I'm guessing this is either a DOT reg that it's not allowed to be on while in motion, or GM took the proactive step.
