Missing Parking Sensor

Don't want to be that guy, but I've searched and came up with nothing.

 

My son was practicing t-ball with a hard ball and had a beautiful hit. right at the front of my 15 Sierra. Now one of my parking sensors is MIA. I believe its SOMEWHERE still connected because the display says I'm too close to everything.

 

Is there a walk through to take apart the bumper and find this sensor (also put it back in place?)

 

bonus points if anyone knows an easy and inexpensive way to get the little dent out!!!

Don't know about a walkthrough...but once you get the bumper off...maybe a dent repair service can make it perfect.

Yea the sensor probably just feel into the bumper.

the sensor would be dangling on a wire somewhere right behind it, if you get under the truck, you should be able to see it. The dent can be smashed out, use a mallet, and do it gently. (you need to take the bumper off for the dent repair)

 

It also might help if you pour burning hot boiling water on the inside the bumper, it will soften up everything if it is made of plastic. I cant be sure for the material on these bumpers, but a lot of other makes are plastic and can be even pushed out by hand if you just pour boiling water on top of the dents.

There isn't a complete walk through I've been able to find yet for the bumper removal. If you search for grille removal or headlight removal, there are videos on both of these that will get you to where you need to be and will just have the bumper itself left to take off. They will show somewhat in detail how to remove the upper bumper and grille, which you have to remove anyway to get the bumper off from what I've seen. Good luck man!!
