Bose system factory sub

I have a 2014 SLT with the premium bose system. I know some trucks come with a sub in the console but mine didnt. I found the sub online on a oem parts store for 180 bucks. Is this just plug and play or is there more to it?

You have the split bench?

Full Bose with the center console and buckets, the sub and amp get mounted where the jump seat is on split bench, and the console covers it all up and the wiring which I believe a split bench would not have.

NO I have the console with bucket seats. the sub goes in the console on the floor. Mine doesnt have it but i know the all terrain and the denali does.

How do I check if these items are there? You made me curious. Just remove the center console?

I would like to know this also.

its in there, or somebody ****ed up and owes you a free oem bose sub. The sub comes with $500 dollar bose package with consol

You should have it. You may not notice because it is not a very impressive sub. The door speakers hit harder than it most of the time.

I am waiting to get through with projects around the house so I can replace mine.

Yea if you have a center console, with the Bose system. It should be in there. Like someone said, it doesn't hit very hard, but turn up the bass and play a rap song and you will feel it a bit.

The amp for the Bose is actually mounted on the back wall.

My video below shows it the amp on the back wall around the 3:40 mark.

Can you replace the factory Bose sub with an aftermarket sub?

Pointless as you must power the sub and the stock amp doesn't have enough butt to push a quality (heavy) sub.

I would choose the plug and play kicker/Bose sub instead.

So there's already a plug n play set up for our trucks? Can you give me the link if you have it?

Nvm I found it. $700 for a single 10" and a 200 watt amp. No thanks. I'll stick to JL Audio.

I didn't say there are not cheap and better options out there, this option is just quick and easy. Just remember a quality aftermarket sub is going to need a lot of amps to push it. Once you install a quality sub you will realize how crappy the highs are then you will end up replacing everything.

Keep in mind Bose is nothing more then crappy paper/glue speakers.
