I've always had a truck or suv since 1988. I traded up from the colorado I had so I could pull my travel trailer easier. I like sitting up high when driving, not sitting on the ground.

Been driving a truck since I was 20. First was 72 step side Chevy.

Then toyotas

Tacoma 3.4

Tacoma 2tr

Always wanted to get back In a Chevy truck.

They finally got me with the 2015 crew cab.

Purchased for same price as new Tacoma.

All my trucks I've owned turned out to be green.

Always owned trucks, since I was 16. Just recently upgraded to full size trucks though, glad I did. I am one of those guys who HATES having to gently place something down into the trunk of a car or SUV because I may dirty it up. I need the bed to just toss stuff into. Plus, I like being able to view almost everything I want to by laying underneath it, opening the hood, or taking a wheel off. (Had to do a wheel bearing in the sierra this weekend, compared to my mid size trucks, it feels like I have 10x more head room in the wheel well!) We also camp from the bed of my trucks!

It also helps when your GF/wife has the small gas sipper vehicle to offset gas prices.

I had money at the time, and I was dumb - didn't use my head. Could've got by continuing to fix my '94 K1500 wth 266k miles on it, but figured it was time to finally buy new. What a mistake! :banghead: With the amount of money I wasted on the purchase price, repairs, taxes, and insurance, I could've kept my '72 El Camino, and bought 2 more beater trucks in addition to my '94. Live and learn.

I've had a truck since I was 16. They're the only "car" you can get that's not unibody and FWD. These days I tow quite a bit, hotshotting cars within a 300 mile radius for a car dealer. I also work on OPE, so need a truck to haul lawn tractors here for repairs. Also own an ATV - can't carry that in the trunk of a car ...

4WD is almost a necessity where I live, at the top of a long, winding, and steep hill that is always the last to get plowed.

6.2 L... Nuff said

Too bad the Ford crowd isn't going to be able to say that anymore, they are getting hosed. They are being forced into the V6 EcoPoop engines because Ford seems to have gone all in with this 'green movement' nonsense.

The topic over on the F150 forum says

"why switch to GM from Ford"........The response is V8....nuff said!
