Pros of the 2014+ silverado/sierra

Ok guys I find something new almost everyday that I really like about my pickup.

1. Found out I can pause live radio,

2. The stock 20 inch chevy wheels have been the easiest I've ever cleaned.

3. The 110 outlet has a much faster charging then a regular USB

4.different themes is nice for the my link

5. Leather steering wheel has a awesome feel

6. Lumber support is actually in the lumbar area

7. 2 glove boxes!

8. Locking lower console (bench seat only)

9. Child safety locks controlled from driver seat

10. Power mirror neutral selection, helps so i dont move my mirrors on accidentally change my settings.

 

I know these are basic things but its the little things that make me happy

I am going to investigate some the these like the locking lower console, and pausing the radio.

 

 

Now on to my happy list.

1. Sirius radio.

2. Gets better gas mileage than my old vehicle.

3. Will do a better job of pulling my 21 foot trailer.

4. Don't need towing mirrors

5. I can seat 6 people and still have the bed for gear.

6. No more trailer brake controller getting bumped and messing up the setting. Not to mention my poor knee.

7. I sit higher up than in my old SUV.

8. 5 star crash rating.

9. Tinted window keeps it so much cooler even in the heat.

10. It isn't going to overheat - old SUV problems

11. The AC works_ old SUV problem

12. The fuel gauge is accurate. Came close to running out of gas 2 times. Old SUV problem

13. The leather seats are cooler, don't absorb water, and have butt and lumber heaters. If one of my kids got in my old velour seats when wet, you could almost hear the water being sucked out.

The lower console is under the front middle seat.

the radio pause I found out by accident going on to base I was going to turn the radio off hit pause and it went silent. I knew the song so after showing my ID I pressed play and it picked up where it left off I tried this numerous times thinking I was loosing my mind but it works everytime. I almost posted a video saying I had a tivo for radio purposes in my Silverado

There is 4 different themes it changes colors/ setup and even the icons

I have had several Silverado's with cloth seats and I do have cloth in my 2014. The new cloth seats are WAY easier to keep clean. The old seats were like velcro and always covered in lint that was very hard to remove.

I think the quite smooth ride is my favorite thing.

It isn't on my '15 SLT either. Sounded cool though.

My themes are only on the Silverado... They didnt put it on the Sierra for whatever reason Gm came up with

Probably because GMC is Professional Grade™.

 

Professionals don't need any stinkin' themes!
