Ugh - Intellilink not recognizing any wired devices

Ok the system has been kinda flaky in the past but I haven't had any issues in a while... but it quit working the other day, hoping somebody has some ideas.

Basically, the system won't recognize anything that's plugged in. USB thumb drive, two different iPods, my iPhone 5S, and a 2GB SD card.

The iPhone has a few hundred songs on it, the SD card has about 20 (yes, twenty). When I first bought the truck, I discovered a funky sequence that seemed to work where I started with everything unplugged, plugged in the SD card, *then* plugged in the thumb drive, and it all worked. I then removed the SD card, and the USB drive continued to work so long as, whatever devices I plugged into the USB ports, I unplugged before shutting the truck off (minus the thumb drive).

The other day I put an SD card in out of my GoPro, to see if maybe it would play the videos. No dice. Whatever, no big deal... but I listened to XM on the trip home, and didn't realize that (upon discovery the following day) that the system no longer recognized the thumb drive.

Now I can't get anything to work. They all have power (devices that can charge start to charge) but the system doesn't see them. iPhone plugged in, called up Pandora, the iPhone switched to "ACCESSORY" on the phone's display (so it seemed to have communications), but then the truck switched to "Bluetooth Audio" and streamed Pandora that way. I could not actually get the Pandora app in the truck to open up, and the iPhone app stayed on the "ACCESSORY" screen.

I'm irritated. I'm about to head out on a road trip to drop my son off at camp, and I'd like to listen to the music I have on my thumb drive.

I have to imagine the dealer is just going to shrug if I take it in next week. Anybody got a magic sequence or master reset button or something to kick this stupid system?

I hate how flaky this system is. I have NO issues in my wife's simple little VW, no issues in my past Audi, no issues with the $100 aftermarket HU in my summer car.

There may a tsb for this. I don't have access at this time. Something about removing the SD card with key on I believe. You might try a "global reset" which consists of disconnecting the battery cables and touching them together for a few minutes. A small jumper wire will work if the cable won't touch. Just depleting capacitors.

I never use the SD card slot just flash drives, so I'm no help. I would try resetting it. Got to be a way. Try disconnecting battery as suggested.

OK, so I got off my ass and went downstairs to a computer to log in at GM. Here is the bulletin for what it is worth.

HOLY CRAP you are awesome man!!!!

So the SD card that I pulled from the GoPro is at home (~70 miles away). I'm tempted to try the factory reset option first BUT that'd kill all my radio presets and stuff, right?

I'll just try swapping in the other SD card first. If that doesn't work I'll do the reset. Will post back with my results.

THANK YOU!

Plugged the other SD card back in out of my GoPro and everything immediately came back to life! Thanks man!!

I will be more conscientious of unplugging stuff while the truck is off.
