Weathertech Floor Mats

I can't argue against that..... If you are the type that gets in the truck without kicking crap off your boots, I'd say stick with the Husky type liner too..... Or, if you tend to get mud all over the place.

I do live where there is snow and ice melt. We average about 500" per year. I used to buy those liners with high sides, dealt with them bending/folding, my feet slipping around on them, and ignoring how damn ugly they were. Then A few years back I decided to go with a full sized, non-raised side mat from Lloyds. No problems, but I do take time to kick the crap off the boots before I sit down.

If you get that much snow, you understand that you simply can't get 100% of it off. And, when you're walking across the box store parking lot, you're going to pick up ice melt on your shoes and won't be able to get all of that off either. The Husky liners are not "damn ugly" at all - they look quite good installed in the truck over the black factory carpeting. And you don't slip around on them like the WTs either. I've also had issues with the high-sides mats in the past (including the Huskys) bending and flopping over, but not any more. They have updated the molding process and they don't do that any more.

I'm waiting for a set of the WT one piece front "over the hump" and rear full coverage liners for my crew cab.

Had a set of Husky Weatherbeater liners but as the front uses individual liners for the driver and passenger side an a center hump cover.

What I didn't like was that the driver's mat doesn't go up high enough along the side and behind the accelerator pedal and the center hump mat didn't conform to the hump and would stick out in front of the acc. pedal-not a good thing.

My nephew has the one-piece front liner and it fits well.

I have the Husky three-piece configuration and have zero issues with it. Everything fits quite well. Maybe there was an issue with the set you got?

This is one of those topics like "Coke vs Pepsi" I've owned both the Husky's and Weathertechs. I keep going back to WT becasue I like the feel of their mats a little bit better (a little softer and more rubber like) vs the hard slippery plastic feel of the Husky's. I don't think one mat holds water or dirt better than the other, I've found that with my current set of WTs, it seems to want to channel and water/spills out of the mat over the door sill.

Now Husky offers a similar texture mat to the WT's with the XAct Contour line. I have a coworker who got these over the WT becasue the price was a little lower and he also has issues with the mats deforming on the sides similar to the complaints of the WT's; I think it's inherent to the type of material used. There are also some complaints on numerous vendor sites that say the Husky Contour's don't fit as well either just like the WT's, so i really comes down to preference. The Husky Weatherbeater's are a decent mat, but they too are the hard plastic, also I'm not a fan of the spiky ribs used to keep the mats in place. Over time, they can tear up your interior carpet, which happened to my Jeep Wrangler with the Husky's....comes down to personal preference; you can't beat the Husky lifetime warranty and overall lower price point.

Not very happy with my rear weathertech mat, curled all over and now looks cheap. So annoying having to look at it every time I open the rear door.

I contacted their customer support and this is what they said,

Thank you for contacting WeatherTech!

Normally, if you notice the Liner starting to warp, there is a pretty easy fix. The easiest way to fix the warping issue is to remove the part from the vehicle and bend the lip all the way back on all four sides so that the part is turned "inside out." If you leave the Liner like this overnight, in a cool room, then the edge should return to the normal position when you flip the lip "right side out." If the warping is extreme (like it is in your photo), it may be helpful to warm the FloorLiner up before flipping the edges back. You can do so by allowing it to sit in the sun or using a low setting heat gun or hair dryer.

Emphasis mine

So there we have it, I spend $100 on a full rear mat which I have to remove about once a week and let it sit out in the sun to let the lips "de-curl" After a few days they will eventually start curling again and allow dog hair and debris to get under the floor mat, which pretty much defies the point of having one in the first place.

I keep it now only because its still easier to clean up my dogs hair. But overall I would not recommend these to anyone. The only reason I have not switched to the Husky rear mat is because I really dislike the glossy finish they have on their mats.

Husky mats for sure. WT is inferior quality AND inferior quality control. Plus, they don't actually tell you if you'll get custom fit mats or the "generically" sized ones regardless of the make/model options you choose when ordering.

Have to strongly disagree here.

I've owned both and currently have black WeatherTech mats in my Denali.

Husky mats don't fit as well at WT in my opinion.

For the OP, I have the Cocoa/Dune interior as well and went through this dilemma. I ordered the tan and they looked horrible with the Cocoa/Dune. I went with black and they're great. I also have a black truck though, so keep that in mind.

I really really wish WeatherTech would custom match the floormats to GM and Ford's interior colors. I'd even pay up to $250 for custom color matched mats.

Mark, thanks for the info. I still am on the fence with the WT vs. Husky and now Lloyd? And the color is an issue too with Brownstone outside and coco dune interior. I am leaning toward black but still not sure. Anyway the truck is suppose to come in in 2 weeks, so Ioght wait to see her in person before I decide.

Just an FYI, if anyone is a AAA member, they offer a 5% discount on all WeatherTech floor mats.

I ordered two sets last Christmas and they mistakenly gave me 10% off. So I saved about 40 bucks. Also, if you order more than one set, they waive the shipping cost for the second set, saves you $18.

Thanks all for the useful information. I am really going to like this web site. I had to move my assistant formen's F350 yesterday and noticed he had weatherteck liners. I saw what some of you all were saying about them being thin and the up edges were curled and looked like "bacon". ???

Just got my WT full front & rear one-piece floor liners, put them in and so far fit is fine and have to say the front WT liner covers a lot more than the Husky Weatherbeater model 3-piece front I had.

Will keep a watch on any possible curling or other negatives.

Just installed a set of Husky X-act Contour Liners lastnight. I was really happy with the fit of them. The material is also really nice!
