drg6654 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I had the Chrome Recovery Hooks installed on my 2015 Denali and the are slanted on both sides I took it back to the dealership and I was told that is the way the are installed. Can someone please confirm this because it doesn't look right to me...
sahls01gmc Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Compare it to another one, and see if it is different.
TxTruckMan Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Man, you can barely tell. if they're crooked at all. Just look under your truck and verify that they were installed properly. It's pretty hard to screw them up. I bet it's the way they are supposed to be.
SteveBBB Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Maybe it's just the picture, but they look fine to me and I'm usually pretty picky about stuff.

Payton34 Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Mine look the same I loosen the bolts to straighten them but can't get them to stay straight as I tighten the bolts
drg6654 Posted July 30, 2015 Author Posted July 30, 2015 Mine look the same I loosen the bolts to straighten them but can't get them to stay straight as I tighten the bolts I know the pictures really don't do it justice but they are slanted for sure and the dealership said they couldn't do anything. I never noticed before because obviously the chrome ones stand out from the black ones
TxTruckMan Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Can you remove a bolt and put a washer on the low side?
sahls01gmc Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 Put the black ones back in? And black out the grille around them?
BuddyS Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 O.C.D.? No its C.D.O, has to be in alphabetical order
sahls01gmc Posted July 30, 2015 Posted July 30, 2015 No its C.D.O, has to be in alphabetical order Hahaha, that made my day.
Joppy818 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Is this mod that hard to do...you have to take the dealer..The front bumper has to be removed...Cant be done in backyard??
pm26 Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 The bolt hole in the hook is apparently somewhat larger than the mounting bolt diameter, so there is some room for adjustment. I bet all you need to do is to loosen the bolt, straighten the hook and retighten.
