New Owner - 2015 GMC Sierra Double Cab - Iridium Metallic

Hey everyone!!

I'm new to the forums! I've been lurking since the beginning of this year and went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a 2015 Sierra late April right after my birthday!! I am loving this truck. My first truck was a Ford Ranger. Then I had a Pontiac G6 during college and finally traded it in to get what I always wanted...... A FULL Size truck.

I have always loved the looks of the Sierra but never was able to afford it. Got a decent job out of college and a year later I'm lucky enough to drive this beauty.

I didn't know where to post this, but I was hoping to post some pics of my truck and get some advice or ideas on what would look best. This is my first truck to customize some. I don't plan on drilling any holes in the interior or anything too advanced.

Here are my plans as of now:

  • Plasti Dip GMC Emblems black (front and back)
  • Husky Liners in front and back
  • N-Fab Wheel to Wheel Nerf Bars (should I do black or stainless steel?)
  • Front Window Tint (20%)
  • Bed Liner Spray In (Not sure which)
  • Some bed cover (Prob BakFlip kind or some trifold)
  • Front 2" Level Kit
  • Ultimate Goal!!! - When my tires wear out, hopefully upgrade tires and rims. I'm not sure whether to try black and chrome or all chrome rims. More than likely just get some Michelin tires (Won't be offroading).

Planning on doing the floor liners and tint this month. All the rest will be pushed back til I have freed money up for upgrades.

Will post pictures from mobile soon.

It's great to be on the forums! Any suggestions would be awesome!! Mainly what would look best, black or silver nerf bars and what style wheels?

Congrats on the truck and welcome!

Mine has factory spray-in, but I've had several with Linex and have been happy with them.

I'd think the rectangular GM boards would look good on the Iridium. I'd go stainles unless you ar removing other SLT chrome for the blacked out look.s

Thanks! I don't know, for some reason I just don't like the look of the rectangular boards. That lead me to finding the N-Fab kind and thought they looked a lot better. Don't plan on debadging. I think the stainless would look pretty good especially if I get black and chrome wheels. I like the chrome, but I don't want it to be over loaded with chrome.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Had the Silverado a week and sorta miss having running boards.

Like the look of the GM rectangular ones but they just hang way too low for me and my off road habits.

Congrats on your new ride and welcome to the forum!

Thanks everyone! Ordered the full back husky liner to cover all of the back floor board. Hopefully getting the front windows tinted to 20% in the next week or two before I little vacation!

Only thing I have to say about the N-fab steps is they do take getting used to, they are a bit far forward when stepping out of the truck but do also switch things up from the regular factory running boards. I always am reminded of the steps however cause of my girlfriend and mom who absolutely hate where the step is located, but they aren't driving so I'm not changing the steps lol

When you say far forward, do you mean as in when you are stepping out of the truck it would be hard to go straight to the ground without hitting the steps? Also, why do they hate where the step is located? I'm getting steps because I want some that look good on the truck but as well it will help my 5'1" girlfriend get into the truck. I'm 6 ft so it's no issue for me! I've also noticed it seems like the nfab style is a minority. Most people like the OEM rectangular steps.
