That's great and believable. It's those with 35" tires, 4"+ lifts that claim 18+ mpg. I just don't buy it, unless they are regeared/tuned (blackbear preferably) and driving 60.

True. Try googling tacoma world tire size calculator. It is a good one. Type in the original tire size and the new one. It will give you the percentage change in tire size. If 4%, multiply your mileage by .04 and you will get a more true number to divide with gallons used.

 

I agree there are some inflated mpg posts out there but also think that some just don't understand the difference between avg mpg and best.

 

Also these trucks do get amazing mpg if you can stay at or under 65 and on flat highway. My 1.5 leveled 5.3 342 ccsb Z71 4x4 with stock 18s will get 22 all day long if used that way. If i get to going 75 it drops to 17.5 quickly! I do mostly highway.

 

I should have some new shoes on the truck in a week or so. I will check back then with my own results.

With 35" tires I am .2 miles off. So for every mile driven I just add .2 miles to get the correct driven distance. The hand calculate from there.

Are you tuned for.the correct tire? If not, you can multiply you miles by like 4% then divide by gallons. Should help some.

Yep positive. To easy to start at a mile marker and then look at trip meter. I travel 1 mile and truck says I've gone 8 tenths of a mile.

I have that size in the KO, not the KO2. I love them in just the KO. idk if that helps you though

They're great. Quiet, tough as nails, look awesome, we didn't get a ton of snow in my part of Michigan last year so I can't really say how good they are in the snow. Only bad thing is that they are e-rated so they don't ride as nice as the stock tires do, especially over diagonal cracks in the pavement, you shift around a bit.

Not sure why it matters who tuned it. Everyone is going to have different real world driving conditions that effects the tune, driving styles, hills, etc.
