I believe they will do it during your oil change even if you don't ask them to.

I had it done yesterday too, no change to shifting. I firmly believe the people that think this made a difference just needed to have their transmission and transfer case be set back into relearn mode.

Well let's hope it relearns how to continue to shift properly, because it's still great so far! Have not had one clunk or awkward shift yet. This use to occur every time I would drive the truck especially when cold, and slow/low gear changes.

They should be checking for updates every time you take a vehicle in. (at least when they are under warranty :happysad: )

That's not a bad plan but given what a software change can do, (for better or worse) if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Lets not forget what this "Update" is for... Unless you live in Florida... There is a definite need to fix.

Took my 2014 High Country in for a metal-on-metal sounding "clunk" when re-accelerating at speeds of between 15-30mph, and a drivers seat that "shifts" in corners.

When I picked up the truck the next day, I was informed that they did the warranty re-programming on the ecm.

After recall added, my truck appears to be shifting better and after 1000 miles still shifts better. Maybe

when I first bought it I drove like a crazy person and now after 15000 miles I've calmed down and it learned my new driving style?

Do they do this with the 2015304? I really hope so...

I have the same results. After this recall and the reflash to factory that they do, my throttle response and shifting have improved greatly. It feels like the 2015 loaner I had that had 400 miles. Definitely recommend getting this recall done.

Type: ZSUB - service update Bulletins release date 09/16/2015 N150304 - Transfer Case Shift Control Module Reprogramming with SPS

Correction: N150304

How long does it take the dealer to update?

I had it done, too. And not to get anyone's hopes up, but it drives like a different truck now. And before anyone starts, I noticed the change in the way it drove before I even knew they performed the update. Shifts were much more immediate. No more flaring, either. Power always seems just under foot, right at tip-in.

It wasn't until I got home and was filing the service receipt that I noticed the transmission software update had been performed. They said nothing about it at the dealership. I'll post the service order later.

I have no idea what the "improved driveability" part of the fix was, but I literally thought I was driving a different truck. Throttle response is now instant. On the highway, hitting the gas causes an immediate downshift and hard acceleration. NOTHING like before.

I thought it was the gas. I ran the tank dry and put in regular 87. No difference. It runs better now than it did before on premium. Not once in 4 days has it felt like it was "hunting" for the right gear.

I HONESTLY don't think it's in my head. I had a 2014 SLE crew Z71 with a 5.3, and now I have a 2015 SLT crew z71 w/5.3 . Neither truck ever ran this way. I experienced all the problems everyone else has reported. And I just turned in a service loaner 2015 Silverado crew 2WD w/5.3, and the difference was night and day.

Has anyone else noticed anything like this? I had the service performed last Friday the 25th. I'll post the TSB number later when I get home.

The only time my truck runs better is when I adjust the accelerator out towards me more.. This seems to improve the signal to the throttle..

It it awful lacksadasicle unless I do that...

Had mine updated yesterday during an oil change. Not sure I notice anything different... maybe slightly better gear finding if anything at all.

Had mine done when I brought it in for an oil change. I don't really notice any difference. If anything it appears to go into 4cyl mode quicker than before and I get the bogged down feeling when it's in 4cyl mode at 40mph. A slight clunk when getting out of that but it's intermittent.
