4 wheel drive adds quite a bit. I looked up my sticker and I was off a bit. $43295

My local dealer (Tuscaloosa Chevrolet) is currently offering $13,500 off 2015 LT All Star trucks. Don't even need to negotiate as its in their commercials. But you could probably do a little better or get bed liner and a couple accessories thrown in.

Or you could be like me and buy a new hail damaged LTZ for $28k OTD.

Your truck is also 2WD, 4WD adds a couple thousand. So the 4WD will make up the difference. I just can't believe an LT is $40k+ now and it doesn't have bucket seats or leather sometimes.

I used to feel the same way as the OP. Read all the posts about great deals but could never come close myself. Best I ever got was the 5k off OR 0% on my 2010 Silverado. This time I was determined to get a better deal and it turned out to be all about patience. Waited all year and saw the 6.5K off plus 0% on SLT's in stock the longest ad, but couldn't find the right truck that also qualified for the deal and passed.

Then Labor Day weekend it all fell into place. Saw the 20% off MSRP on SLT's in stock the longest. Was going to some dealerships expecting the same result. Never expected to find the exact truck I wanted but the deal was good so planned to possibly compromise on color or options. The first dealer i visited I asked for a list of trucks that qualified and there she was. CCSB, Iridium Metallic, SLT, 6.2, Black Interior, Nav, Bose. My head exploded.

Anyways, still skeptical, I looked over every inch and test drove. Everything was good. $50,490 sticker. $10,098 rebate. I know its nothing special but its the best I've done and proud of it.

Wait until late October when the 2016s are coming to their lots. They'll have incentives to get rid of the 2015s.

I doubt you'll see anything more than the 10k in rebates, even when the 16's roll out. I've been working for GM for a while and thats the most I've seen them do on Silverado's. To get that discount you need to be on a "bonus tag" vehicle. Good news is, GM did a fast start program this month where for every bonus tag vehicle you sold they would replace it with 2 more "tags" to put on your next 2 oldest vehicles of the same type, ie if you sell one bonus tag Cruze and 3 tagged Silverados they would be "replaced" with another 2 Cruzes and 6 Silverados.

Hopefully that makes sense...

And the "replacements" are 2015 models?

Correct.

Basically the next vehicle in line when it comes to age. Example- Silverado build date 3/22 sells, gets "replaced" by the next two oldest Silverado's on the lot which are 4/16 and 5/2 are now the next bonus tag vehicles.

I did the same thing! Except I got an LT allstar CC 4x4. I got out the door for almost the same price I paid for my previous truck, which was an 08 LT texas edition. I walked out the door for around $25K.

for those kind of savings I will GLADLY take the hail damage!

I have a supplier discount code from my employer if someone wants it. Supplier discount is only 1500 dollars more than employee discount pricing.

How would that work? Wouldn't they make you verify that you work at the supplier? If not, I'm all in!

Call Dave Smith Motors in Idaho. No haggling, they start taking rebates and bonuses off invoice price. I'm not affiliated in any way, but I bought my last 2 trucks there and I live in California. I've heard Truecar.com and Costco also start at invoice.
