MyLink issues since IOS9

I'm wondering does the receive text work with MyLink paired with and IOS9.2 IPhone6. I was given a new work phone a couple days ago and I'm not receiving texts. I can send texts with Siri and the phone also works.

Go into Bluetooth setting for your car on your phone and make sure messaging is checked. Sometimes it doesn't automatically do that.

I'm not seeing a messaging option in my phones bluetooth settings and GMIntellilink. The only thing not checked is Notifications could that be it?

I just installed the 9.3 beta and sure enough everything works like a charm now!

 

I even tested the Siri out -- I never knew you held down the voice button to activate Siri from car. I always thought I had to do it from home button on phone.

Did you notice BT pairing speed up? In 5 it took my phone longer than usual to connect to truck--in 6 it's instant as soon as radio boots up. I love it!

Yeah it's pretty much right away now. Very pleased they fixed what they broke. Ha.

Now if they could just fix the stupid stuff, too.

 

I would LOVE for the phone to default audio to the iPhone when BT-Paired to the truck since all alerts are simply "lost". If I launch an app that sends BT audio that I'm listening to, then changing to the the MyLink is perfectly reasonable.

So iOS 9.3 fixes this annoying issue with Bluetooth audio? It is so irritating listing to XM and if I have Waze open it switches to Bluetooth for that audio and stays there. I have to swap to XM manually again.

I decided to enroll in the BETA program on my iPhone 6 and have found that the BT is working as I expect again with the added bonus of connecting more quickly to the truck (most times) at startup.

 

Mostly, the BETA (BETA 6, currently) is working just fine without any issues including removing all of the weirdness that was introduced in 9.2 for Bluetooth.
