Man I can't wait for this update. This may have prevented what I saw with my radio this morning.

So, go get it.

Sign up for the BETA program, install the BETA profile onto your phone, and load up the 9.3 BETA.

It's a pretty painless process, and you'll be advised of any BETA release updates just like regular software updates.

I noticed, starting with Beta 6, that sometimes, the BT audio from a music app (like Spotify) won't actually play through the speakers in the truck.

The app shows it's connected, and playing. Timer is counting down, and the app says it's using GMC Intellilink - but nothing is playing. Display on the truck shows nothing, too.

I've found I have to kill and restart the app, that usually kicks it. Seems to happen maybe 50% of the time?

And it's much worse in my wife's Volkswagen.... 50% or more of the time, I can't get the audio to stream at all to her car. At least in my truck, I can always eventually get it streaming. Her car, sometimes it just won't work at all.

Wasn't this way with 9.1. :(

Very smooth upgrade from iOS 9.3 BETA 7, all Bluetooth issues seem to [still] be corrected. I've updated five phones and my tablet. One phone glitched and needed a reboot in order to get the lock button to work properly and to be able to recognize the charger.

One thing of note from my side is that I have not noticed ANY difference in the overall "quickness" of the phone connecting to the truck. Yes, it connects very quickly sometimes. Other times, no. On average, it's the same as I observed before.

If GM could fix the stupid MyLink software so that it starts up reliably and predictably, then we might be able to actually measure a difference. But, since my truck still sometimes starts up and shows me the Warning screen that I have to Dismiss, it's clearly not following a predictable boot up process.

After 9.3 I have noticed after a phone call the radio goes back to whatever I am listening to (mainly XM) but it still switches to Bluetooth audio if I have Waze running and it plays an update through Bluetooth. :(

Its not perfect, some apps that use HFP prompts still go back to bluetooth that worked fine with 9.1. There were some new bluetooth/HFP standards introduced with 9.2 and they obviously werent backwards compatible. Main thing for me is after a phone call or google maps prompt it goes back to the last mode instead of bluetooth music on the phone. Since it works OK now with some apps the app developers may need to change something.

I'm hoping that's all it is. Just seems to be Waze at this point. I did notice that it's not every single time (usually the first time Waze would chime in it would go back to XM) but every time after that kept it in Bluetooth Audio.

Updated to 9.3 and now it's back to normal.

Fat fingered, and shot from the hip.

Ok, has anyone else experienced this issue with 9.3.1?

My wife has a Hyundai Genesis Coupe and I have my truck.

When we talk through our car's bluetooth--the call sounds like a record; static. If one of us goes to our handset, it goes away. Vice versus.

That tells me it isn't vehicle issue--but perhaps BT code in 9.3.1 is jacked up? Has anyone experienced this or had anyone tell you they feel you sound weird? Like I said, it only occurs when you talk vehicle BT to BT. If I call my wife at work from my truck, I am fine. If I call her from my truck to her car, it sounds like crap.

I don't really want to downgrade my code LOL to test.

It was perfectly fine with 9.3--we didn't have issue. She has iPhone SE and I have iPhone 6 Plus.

I noticed this yesterday while traveling.

Using Waze when app is in front no issues and app talks and then goes back to radio.

When Waze was in background, once directions were stated it would flip to iheart radio app and not radio.

Anyone else experienced this???

I just downgraded to 9.3; going to test.

I read on the Apple forums that several people are having weird BT issues with 9.3.1 now; Apple Watch, vehicle BT systems, and some Garmin device (guessing it's a GPS unit).

I have upgraded to 9.3.1 as has my wife, and neither has experienced any additional "noise" with the in-vehicle bluetooth (my Silverado, her '16 Traverse with the recall for the OnStar / BT microphone having been done).
