I understand the benefits of LED lights, but in the northern areas that get snow, I think the LED's have one downside, they don't make as much heat as incandescent bulbs.

Driving in snow it tends to stick on the back of the vehicle and old style tail lights melted the snow off and kept them clear and visible.

LED's wont do that I don't think..

People have brought this up on the Jeep forum I'm on as OEM Wrangler headlamps make the GMC projectors so many here dislike look like the sun. So lots of people (myself included) buy full LED replacement headlights, new housing and all. Lots of people worry about snow buildup on the headlamp but only a few reported it being an issue. Given how many vehicles have LED tail lamps now I can't imagine they don't have some way to address this. LEDs may not get hot but they must emit some heat and I suppose they only have to warm up above freezing right?

I work for a state DOT and when we switched out the rear truck lights on our snow plows for LEDs we had that issue. They are nice and bright but it's a problem when the snow doesn't melt off of them.

I like the style of it but for my taste, they have WAY too much chrome going on up front. the painted versions look good but that's way too bold for my taste.

I want to know if water will puddle on the hood, or if there is enough of an angle to drain.

As for the tails, I like them.

I'm happy I like the looks of the truck in the video since I'm pretty sure it's the color and trim I ordered - Slate Grey LTZ. I didn't know the power steps could be had on the LTZ, anyone see a price for those? It sure would be helpful if Chevy would update their website.

I love the painted version

I also think the chrome is heavy for me and the painted looks more to my taste.

Definitely like that better. My taste on vehicles lead me to the WT Blackout Edition over the Midnight Edition even. I liked the matte black bumpers and the simplicity of it. I even tried talking myself into a midnight edition while mine was on order but I couldn't do it, I found it too flashy. For some its great but its just not my style. Also I love that my truck has the mechanical 4X4 on the floor. lol Everyone is different and I'm not new to being called "special." lmao

You know, seeing the front end of that 2016 LTZ in action makes me not hate it as much as I did initially.

Those who predicted it would grow on us naysayers are right.

(Still like the classic look of my 2015 LTZ though. Long live incandescent !!)

I don't care for the new (2016) front or rear end looks! I need more to turn me on and not a look alike to a new Colorado.
