don't know if anyone has more information on this but my truck with a 4 " suspension lift with 33's and a -10? offset i believe & a uniball UCA. Like i said, once i hit a small grove in the road it want to dive that direction. its like all the time. any ideas? the shops here can't tell simply because they are useless....and wont care unless i pay some good cash up front if they dont know the direct problem is. So yea! if any of you guys would know this issue please let me know or any ideas. i got an alignment also, same issue..

To add to what CptMcSaug is getting at. If you have a wide tire/wheel combo. Say 9" or wider, the truck will want to follow grooves in the road. Its just the nature of the beast with big tires/wheels.

You could add a steering stabilizer. But I am not sure how they work on trucks with a rack/pinion. I have only ever seen them on trucks with solid axles, or IFS with a pitman/idler arm setup.

Sounds normal to me. As others have stated larger tires will pull more than smaller tires on bad roads with cracks.

best way to combat this is drive with both hands on steering wheel.

Wandering and diving doesn't sound anybit "normal" to me. I have the similar setup, except I didn't do the unibal control arms, I stuck with normal control arms/ball joints. Steel vs aluminum control arms? I would be rechecking everything that was done to the truck

Happens to mine with a level and 33s. Also on some bumps it swings to a side. Is this normal?

the front or the rear of the truck?

It feels like the front. Like it jumps and swings. Not sure is being electronic steering has anything to do with this, plus the level and wider tires.

might have something to do with the level..do you have the 2.5 kit from Rough Country? i think the level/2.5 kits gives us stiffer suspension...

Nope. Lol I have a 3" top strut spacer from eBay. So it probably is causing it cus is not giving it much clearance on jumps. Fuge, but my truck is so leveled with it.

I figured since is a 2wd and a wt trim then it wouldn't have much of an impact and it wasn't like this. I started noticing like 4 months ago and I've had it for almost 2 years.

yeah what your explaining is kinda what is happening to me...like when i go and pass someone i have to have 2 hands on the wheel because it feels like once the road becomes uneven i have to like align my steering wheel and gather maximum control..it will just hop over like almost a small shove.

I have a 14 crew cab and my truck has drove like a piece of junkids since I bought it almost 2yrs ago. When driving people probably think I'm drunk because the steering is so bad. Any bumps or groves in the road and the truck pulls. Even the wind can blow me. I feel unsafe driving this. I've taken it to like 3 or 4 different dealership and they all keep the truck after the test drive but when it comes to diagnose or replicate the issue, at first they'd just say your truck will get better after driving it, because it's new. Then after going back and forth to dealerships and calling gm, I get the old there's nothing wrong with it. I've had loaner truck and they don't drive like that. I'm severely disappointed because of this situation. I buy my 1st Chevy and from day one it's been a nightmare. I should have done a lot more and stayed on them but I work a lot and have to have a truck. If anyone knows what the cause of the problem is please, please let me know. I fear for my life and the lives of others.
