We pay even more in Canada just because...... The lis on my Double Cab 4x4 SLE was $49,955. Our money was at par then.

 

Even if you did the exchange and all of the other stuff we usaully are charged more. :"JUST BECAUSE"

 

My same truck would cost even more now.

 

But heck it's your Thanksgiving this weekend so of course all of the our gas stations jacked up our gas prices.. JUST BECAUSE uhg!!!!

its weird, from what I have noticed the price of half ton trucks and SUVs like Yukon and Tahoes etc have gone up like crazy but the 2500s pricing seems to have stayed relatively the same, GMT 900 Denali diesels were 60 65K and the K2s still are 60 65k where as the loaded yukons could get into the 80'a now

Unfortunately, near zero interest rates are one big factor why prices are going up. If people had to finance these trucks at customary 7% APR, there is no way they could sell them at these prices, as our salaries (most of us I think) have remained rather flat over the last 6 years or so. With zero percent financing they can keep the payments low enough to finance these large sums of money, even though it is over a longer period. Even if you have cash to pay for these overpriced vehicles, I certainly cringe at these sticker prices.

It's un frickin believable how expensive trucks are getting. The problem is people are willing to finance themselves out to the moon and back and as long as they can swing the payment..... you too can have a 65,000 dollar truck in your driveway, I mean cmon, an 8 year loan?!? Another thing you're seeing is the soccer mom crowd is starting to drive them too, can't tell you how many fully decked out Denali's I see with 3 kids hopping out at Cheerleader, soccer, theater practice etc. The truck will never see a dirt road, just lots of door dings at the shopping mall.

 

Would love to have 2016 fully loaded LTZ.....the chances of that are as good as SpongeBob becoming president LOL. Give it a few years, at the current rate only the rich will be able to afford these things!

You think any of those people can actually save any money?

Based on what I saw recently, a fully loaded 2016 Denali 3500 dually 4X4 crew cab with every factory option on it, including Duramax diesel, stickers for about $ 75k right now. And this is a factory sticker without any add-ons.

 

I remember seeing a truck like this about 4 years ago (2012 model I think) and it was right around $ 55k sticker. $ 20k increase in just 4 years? You can't justify that just by adding a few new gadgets and changing the front end look.

hell, if you option an Escalade just right, it WILL Go North of $100K!

I took in a 1996 that was $21k.. and thought it was outrageous back then.

that year onward... just crazy.

 

when the overhead years climb back in (one long run of a good model). back to one coil, optical trigger with 8 wires...silly fairy tales back into the moron bin.

I bet it comes down.

 

..and that damn aluminum. they knew better 50 years ago.

Years ago when I was a teenager someone I knew let me drive his 1976 4X4 full size Blazer occasionally. The truck was all stock and it had a 350 cu in motor with a 4 barrel carburetor, 3 speed auto transmission, rubber floor mats, no A/C, just a heater and AM radio. But this thing would go just about anywhere. I thoroughly tested its 4WD prowess on muddy hills of West Virginia. I remember that once I stopped on this muddy hill and the mud was so deep the truck would not even roll backwards in neutral. But it moved forward without any trouble and kept going all the way to the top. And how much this vehicle cost new? $ 6,500 according to the owner. Today you spend this much just buying accessories for your $ 45k truck.

      2026 Sierra 1500 Denali - Sound upgrade?

      I’ve heard similar complaints from newer vehicles where the factory “premium” systems don’t always live up to expectations. A good installer should be able to improve the sound without turning it into a bass-heavy setup. I’d look into upgrading the front speakers, adding a quality DSP amplifier, and possibly improving sound deadening first—those changes usually make a much bigger difference than just adding a subwoofer. Hopefully someone local can recommend a reputable installer in the Las Vegas/St. George area.

      Do you remember that Harley Davidson was more successful (solvent) when it produced about 60% of the market demand (by design) and forced wait times of up to three years? Even when your turn came around it was, "Take what we are giving you or move to the back of the line and start over". HUGE markup's were 'normalized' and dealer killed. 40% markup and no floor plan? What's not to love? Greed will kill them yet. They have surplus production and customer base is tanking. And still they think nosebleed pricing will work.

      The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.

      Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
