Rock Auto And Fuel Pump For My 2001 Sierra

2 years ago I decided to buy a new fuel pump from Rock Auto not for any other reason than I was getting tired of having no fuel gauge, the sender went years before. I ordered the Airtex E3500M since it was an exact replacement claiming to fix the issues associated with the OEM. It's been in 2 1/2 years now and the fuel sender went so I logged into my account and found the order and figured I would check ou and see if it was still covered.

 

I received this email in 5 minutes:

I'm very sorry you had a problem with your order. The part is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty.

Please place a new order for the same part number online. Once you've received the new part, installed it and verified that it works, you can visit our Order Status & Returns page and set up a return as Broken / Defective. You will set up the return in the new order since we want to refund you for the amount you paid for the replacement.

 

I received the new part in 3 days, took 2 1/2 hours of my time and swapped out the parts, packed up the old one and will take it to the post office tomorrow. Just wanted to relate a good story when dealing with an online retailer, I am pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get a replacement.

Excellent company to do business with. A year or so ago I had ordered a dozen PF 47 oil filters. When I received the order 9 of the filters were PF 47 and 3 of the filters were PF 47E. I called rock and and explained the discrepancy that I didn't order the PF 47E filters. Rocks representative said he would have the charges for the 3 PF 47E filters removed from my credit card. I thanked him and said that I would ship the 3 filters back. He told me not to bother shipping them back and just keep them.

Order some struts from the before for a car.. got struts in and tried to install them and guess what I ordered the ones they had that would fit going by part number but they wouldnt fit.. called them and explained it all to them they figured out that the part number was incorrect and the found me the right ones and paid for shipping the new one and wrong ones back.. class act
