So the rebates advertised aren't unavailable to most people.

Correct, nearly everyone gets the exact price advertised. It's not a trick or a scam. They lose money on a lot of brand new vehicles but get huge cash bonuses back from GM for selling a massive amount of vehicles per month. It's all about moving large quantities of inventory for them.

It is true that some rebates are based on area/address but I wouldn't say most rebates advertised are unavailable to most people. I live in seattle and called laura about their pricing. I forget which rebate it was and at the time they included the 1k trade assist. Not sure of the difference with it being 3hours away but if I didn't find a local dealer I would have def went with laura

I got a heck of a deal at Laura and would recommend them. Prices does include a $1k trade in bonus so add that to the price for the real price of the truck. I got mine last April and nobody could touch the deal I got. I talked to a couple of people (one owner of a dealership and another guy my buddy buys fleet trucks from) and both said they couldn't get close even with $2k more for my trade in. They won't give you the best price for a trade in but it was a deal I couldn't pass up at the time. As everybody has said they are a volume dealer so they just turn them as fast as they can. They were also the only place that I could find my truck since they get so many (hard to fine the combo I wanted - 2 Chevy's and 3 GMC's that matched what I wanted I a 500 mile radius).

Would recommend Laura...just tell them to have the paperwork ready when you get there so you can get on your way...pissed me off since I had my check in hand and everything I needed but took 4 hrs to get out of there and I had a 3 hr drive home (KC). I guess the guy I worked with is no longer there....so that's good. Good luck!

I know a guy here in Austin that wanted a certain Corvette, searched all the Austin stores found two to chose from, ended up buying one from a dealership out of state had it shipped to him which he said cost 2K still saved 5k over the stores here

I live in St. Louis and thats the only place I will buy from. Prices are by far the best and I have had great results from there service department also. My 14 that I purchased from them in 13 was just recently totaled from an accident and I did not hesitate to go back and get another one. They deal in volume that why no one else can compare to there prices.

I priced mine out there as well, and as CH15 says, if the $1k trade allowance is listed in your discounted price, add it back in and that is what you'll pay (still a better deal than most other dealers). My experience there was really good. For full disclosure though, I didn't end up buying from them. I took their trade in offer and out the door price to a GMC dealer closer to me in the West St. Louis, MO area. After a grueling back and forth, my local dealer ACTUALLY beat Laura by $500 (and they threw in a set of Nitto G2's, Readylift level and MotoMetal rims). I fought like hell to get the deal, but did it! Point is, Laura has some killer deals and I would buy there based on my previous interactions, but if you fight for it, you could get a killer deal locally.

Yep... the sales volume there is insane, and that is where they make their money back.

I believe the salesman told me they sell 600 trucks a month there.

I just got back from there, 12 hour drive home. I got 13,000 off the list on a 1500 slt. The price listed is the price i paid. i even financed with them and got 2.9 percent on the loan. I flew out there with no money, they picked me up at the airport, and drove it home. It was a great experience and will do it again. The best i could do locally was 20 percent off list or 10,400 so it was worth the trip to save $2500. After airfare and gas about $2000 but still a nice trip. The only issue i had was the 4 hours to get the paperwork done. I was number 11 for the day at 11 in the morning. Everyone there was very nice and helpful. I couldn't believe how many trucks they have, over 400 1500's alone. Check them out. The price listed is the price everyone pays.

Laura didn't have the color I wanted. But my local chevy dealer found what I wanted in a silverado and fiNally got within 1k of laura. So it should be here today sometime.

Bought mine from Laura, totally happy with the experience. Will buy my next truck from them. Pricing was spot on, I traded an Avalanche.

Laura is good, but not always the best. I just purchased a new truck this week. found a dealer that gave me $1,500 more for my trade, and $1000 better in price on the new truck when compared to 4 other dealers....Laura included. Plus, they were the only dealer that had the truck in stock I wanted. Everyone else had to order....

Lots of great reviews about them. I read somewhere a guy who flew in one day was like 1 of 10 or 15 people flying in that day to buy a vehicle. They will pick you up at the airport and everything. Had I known about them I would have looked hard at them as the prices are great.
