I drive a Ford F150 for work everyday (company truck that I keep at my home). If I am not at work then and not in Chevy then I am on one of my motorcycles. I actually put more miles on my Victory every year than I do my truck.

I have two trucks.

My summer DD is a Ford Super Duty CC diesel.

My winter ride and plow truck is a 2500hd.

Rich, I didn't know you upgraded. Sounds slick.

Yeah Bill,I upgraded a couple months ago, wasn't really planning on it, it just kinda' happened, my buddy had been wanting my '07 for quite some time, so we worked out a deal and I bought a new one! I just have to get some pictures of it up and change my sig pic!

1989 Shelby CSX is what I daily, my commute is about 4-5 miles with a top speed of 25mph (legally). Silverado stays in the driveway as it'll get about 13mpg with my commute and the Trans Am comes out once a month for Coffee and Cars

I used to DD a 2012 Honda Ruckus, it was tons of fun but I got bored of it. Anyone want to buy it in the OKC area?

2002 Sliverado LT, used for oil delivery and visiting accounts along with my other business in produce in the summer.

2014 Chevy Cruze Diesel, daily ride. My 91 Jetta diesel was on it's last leg at 250k so I upgraded to the Cruze

2013 Camaro SS/RS weekend toy. My special needs daughter loves to ride in it so we spend some time on the back roads.

I had to reply to this - funny how could you NOT use a truck as a daily driver, its a TRUCK??! I could see if you have an HD diesel use it for work/towing needs and a more economical car for everything else, but a 1/2 ton is the epitome of a DD - hence why they typically get downgraded to "beater" status when they get old and used up and are needed as a 2nd vehicle for guys who want to keep their sports car shiny.

If its 40+ out, no rain/snow, no salt/sand/gravel left on the roads and I'm not going to be driving on crappy pavement or dirt roads then I "DD" my Z06 = 4-5,000 miles/year. Otherwise I am driving my sierra about 12-15,000 a year. The vehicle that gets the most use in my household though is the wife's '15 Acura MDX - already has 15,000 miles and we bought new around April/May. Thing isn't bad to drive at all for an SUV - gets 21mpg no matter how hard I drive it, reliable, has good handling/performance for what it is, roomy and versatile etc. (I checked out everything and am a real "car guy" I would have had a porsche cayenne but too much $$ & not practical....I do pity the fools who shelled out $60k for a 6 banger X5 though - the MDX does everything better and I got it for $38.5 OTD - X5M or V8 is different story of course)

I prefer to be on 2 wheels when the weather lets me. I put more miles on my bikes than I do my truck yearly.

Ain't that the truth...

I use my GMC as my beater, and its new.

I keep my 6.4L Super Duty for summer towing, and its my performance hobby, putting out over 600hp/1,200 lbs of torque.

Trucks are reliable & safe. Trucks are all we will buy.

I ride a little in the summer on my bike, but with every human now focused more intently on texting instead of driving, I hardly ride it anymore. Just seeing friends of mine being mowed over by grown adults texting and driving has taken the fun out of it.

And now for a different twist...my DD is a pair if New Balance walking shoes, LOL...I work from home, so my daily "commute" is from one end of the house to the other. But when I have to go out, my preferred vehicle is my truck, followed by my wife's 2001 Trans Am and my 2004 GTO toy.

I owned an '04 GTO for a while - really liked it, got into them (and the G8 I had later) due to the 6 months spent in Australia during my college years...unfortunately Holden never really gave us the "good stuff" - HSV coupe 4 for example...The GTO is a cool ride though, one of the nicest interiors in a muscle car even compared to today's newest stuff, maybe the most comfortable seats in ANY vehicle @ any price too!

I've had a 1999 Ford Escort since college (about 7 years total now) that I commute in about 40 miles round trip. I would drive the truck everyday but why when I have a car that gets ~30 mpg and not costing me a dime. The thing won't die, has zero maintenance other than oil changes, and allows the truck to be in the garage when I'm at work. It's nice to have when traveling out of town to leave at the airport and not have to worry about it getting stolen or broken into. Taking it to the city where parking garages are made for ants is a nice perk as well. I'd sell the damn thing if it was worth anything but driving it and saving the truck is worth more than the $1200 or so that I could sell it for. The day it dies, I'll walk away from it and drive the truck on a daily basis.
