E rated tires psi

Anyone running these. What psi do you keep your tires? When I had mine installed they set them at 35 psi. The max rated psi for these are 80psi. I just recently increased them to 50psi.

Good question. I also bought some "E" rated Toyos today and They also set them at 35 psi. They were going to use the 32psi setting on the door! My tundra with e rated tires I ran 47psi. Came home and upped mine to 40psi but haven't driven it yet.

I will drive it tmw and see how it rides. I got the tires off a f35oand read the door panel and it recommended 65 psi front and 80 in the rear. I just set it for 50 psi all the way around.

When I had a 2500, I ran the narrow stock E rated 245-75/16 tires at 50-55 with no load and no trailer. With my hunting gear, dogs , etc., I didn't raise it. But with a horse trailer at 7500 lbs, I ran them at 80. Had to. Otherwise the truck squirms around.

With my last two 1500 CC trucks, I put E rated tires on and have run from 36-50 lbs. (hot on the tpms). I've found 38-40 seems to be good for my light loaded K2 truck with 305-60/18 tires. I do believe the truck weight and tire size plays a part in finding a good pressure to run. Also, sidewall height, and different makes have various flex/tread stability/steering response, which might influence the pressure you find acceptable.

I like to know my hot pressures as well as my cold pressures. In the end, I'm more concerned about knowing the hot operating pressure that works for me, since I routinely check pressures with tpms on the road.

40 up front, 38 in the rear (cold psi).

There is a conversion chart linked somewhere on here. No need to run over 45 psi unless you have a load or trailering.

Set mine at 40f/38r and it feels much better than the 35 they were set at yesterday. Doesn't feel like I'm driving through molasses anymore.

When mine were installed, they put them at like 60/55. It was like driving on rock tires.

40psi all around on my 275/70/18 - E-Rated DuraTracs

Running same for over a year now perfect for me

There is no reason to run the air pressure that high when it's empty; it only makes for a harsh ride. An E-load tire at a lower pressure can take the same load as an LT tire at "specified" pressure level. Is the harsher ride desirable?
