Vibration in pedal and steering wheel while at idle, not moving

Okay,

I have researched this problem in great depth only to find!!!!! Not a damn thing.

Now, the solution.

2003 Silverado 1500HD 4x4 76,000 miles on it.

The problem: while at idle I would turn the wheel and get a crazy vibration/pulsation in the wheel. This also happened while pushing the brake sitting still. At idle I'd push my brake and I would get a pulsation. This could also be heard under the hood. At a full turn, while sitting still it would make a vibration sound so loud and so fast it sounded like a buzz. So, like I said, I couldn't find the solution and I was getting tired of the "Have you checked your fluid" comments. The braking system is a hydro boost, which I thought could be the issue.

The problem WAS the power steering pump. On these trucks the reman'd pumps WILL NOT WORK. You have to use a GM original or you're setting yourself up for failure. Your buddy tells you otherwise, tell him to put his money where his mouth is.

The point of this thread is to save y'all the stress and $ that I lost. Please pass this along if you or a friend experience this problem.

Props to AUTO ELECTRIC in Johnson City, TN. The temps are in the 30's right now so I ha them do the work and they did a fantastic job.
