My '15 LTZ had condesation the day I bought it. It has cleared up since then and hasn't really returned even after a heavy wash every week. I will be upgrading to HID's soon but want to find some for the fog light as well.

Yeah the entry level lights are now HID and the LTZ & High Country have LED. I don't think you could convert it because they did away with the dual headlight config it like the sierras where it's one projector and has a shutter.

ok gotcha. i don't really like that the did away with the dual bulbs with the new ones and just have a cheap flap for the high beams. are they a lot brighter in the new ones?

I did prefer the stacked design however, compared to my old Sierra the lights on my Silverado are night and day. I'd say easily 5-10x better visibility, especially when you put on the LED fog lights. One of my friends has an LT 2015 Chevy and it was dramatically better than my Sierra was, the 16 Silverado is even better yet. I don't know if they would be plug and play but, I'd rather have the LT reflectors than the LTZ projectors if I had a 2015 or 14. For appearance sake though I'm slightly leaning towards the 15's but, the headlight performance makes up for it 10 fold.

heres an update on the headlights-got my passenger side assembly replaced at the dealer today and it actually is now a worse unit than the one i had as this one is fogged up way more and takes a lot longer to clear up. WTF

yours was replaced because of the bubble? will it always return?

Yes and yes. It is starting to return already . I notice when the ambient temp is warmer it is not as apparent. I'll just have to live with it as not a big problem. Cosmetic issue as the seat htr and cooling work just fine.

Was just told that bc I put in HID bulbs that I voided the warranty and they won't cover them until I switch back to OEM. The fact is still that the headlights are broken bc if they weren't they wouldn't fog up. So why the hell did I get rid of my perfect working 2012 for a truck that gives me this amount of problems? Can GM chime in on this? I put in HIDs bc the stock halogen bulb in a projector is absolute garbage and doesn't work well bc if it did there wouldn't be a lawsuit against them

My 15 sierra hood does the same thing. I'm not sure what they could add to stiffen it up

Dealer fixed it by adding insulation on the underside and it seemed to fix it. Bring it to them and have them do it

Just swap out for the LT reflector headlights they work much better.....

They are better but the issue still lies in the fact that they fog up like crazy and that why on the top tier trim should I downgrade to a lower trim model. That blows my mind

I'd consider it an upgrade since the LT lights perform better. Trust me I know how you feel part of the reason I traded in my Sierra was the piss poor headlights. I would have put work truck headlights in there if they performed better but, GMC has projectors on all their trim levels. I'm still not sure that I really like projector headlights.

I have never noticed an issue with my head lights. 2015 Z71. The are wonderful. If anything they are to bright. I get flashed all the time.

I actually drive with my hand on the lever so I can flash them back. 1 out of every 3 cars flashes me. Totally stock lights.

Never had any water in them, but I live in dry land.

Now, I wonder what lights my truck has.

My hood moves a little... nothing I would ever be afraid of.

I don't have heated seats.

have an update...

went to the dealer today to meet with service manager, gen manager, and a rep from gm about the lights fogging up and being horrible light output. the gm rep was a total jack off and basally told me to screw myself bc all he can offer was that they replace the headlights again with the same damn assemblies that will fog up. he also said that he won't do anything with the light output and not even put in better bulbs as suggested by gm spec. he said that i can go buy another truck if i don't like it. are you kidding me!? who speaks to people like that. the only good thing was the General manager said he will try to work with me and the owner of the dealership to fix the problem. i told them i want to be put into a 2016 without anything out of my pocket as i just bought this truck a month and a half ago. we will see what happens. i have a feeling that i will also be told to screw off. lets see
