Bilstein 5100 Adjustable Installer?

I was on the Tirerack website this morning completing the checkout using one of their recommended installers. Before the final purchase, I called my local Goodyear (the only installer listed) to ask about the installation price. The manager stated they would not install adjustable or for that matter any customer supplied part, but they did have an agreement with Tirerack to install tires and wheels.

I called around and could not find anyone willing to install the shocks if I purchased them myself. I called a local 4WheelParts dealer (price to buy at 4WheelParts online $348 (front and rear). I asked for a price with parts and installation. Total price a little of $900. The labor breakdown $167 (install front), $66 (install rear) and $165 for an alignment plus parts and markup.

Anyone have a name brand dealer who completed their installation? I can handle the rear, but I do not have all the tools to do the front.

I had the 5100's installed all around on my previous 2014 AT CCSB. Including dismounting old tires, mounting and balancing 4 new tires, and 4 wheel alignment came out to under $750. This is not a national chain but at D&D out of McAllen, Texas. TXJose may chime in but they aren't the least expensive option around here but they do very good work.

Forgot to mention that price also included the shocks as well.

Call some independent shops or brake/alignment shops. Not a difficult install you just need a commercial strength spring compressor which most of us don't have access to.

Yep, local tire shop installed my fronts for $180 with alignment.

I would not go to a chain shop, as they will just estimate the cost based on BOOK time. Have some small shop install the shocks, and then take it to Discount or Les Schwabs for an alignment

Just rent a spring compressor from an auto parts store and do it yourself and get outside work on your own truck man!

I have seen a strut spring release before. I have no desire or interest in losing body parts with novice experience. I do most of my own work, but some things I am not willing to risk.
