Best Riding LT tire

Recommended Posts

I am going to be ordering a new 2016 truck and will be selling back the crappy OEM tires, and installing new LT 285/55/20 tires. I am currently running Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2014 but they are not the best riding tires. Does anyone have any experience with a better riding LT tire? Also has anyone tried the new Terra Grappler G2 tire? Thanks!

In before everyone and their dog suggest BFG Ko2s lol

I have heard good things about coopers and Handkook dynapros.

Only AT that i have experience with is the BFG Ko2s personally.

BFG AT Ko2's ride great.

Also, i had Cooper Discoverer AT3's before the Ko2. They rode great, but they were terrible in snow and rain.

My first set of Cooper ATP. So far love'm, cheaper than the BFG or Big O Big Foot.

I'm running a set of E range 275/65/18 Hankook Dynapros and love them. Very smooth for commuting, good traction and braking and love them for towing. Actually got them because the OEM SRA's were to squirmy for my taste, even with the pressure bumped, for towing.

Except for gravel roads I don't go off pavement so I can't speak for that aspect. I will say that not a lot of people seem to have them and I think they look good (solid looking without being overly aggressive).

I've had coopers, ko2 and now have toyo at2. Out of the three tires, my favorite is the toyo at2

How are they in the snow? I have the ko2 but I'm thinking of maybe selling them to get a lighter tire

Tire pressure plays a large role in ride with an LT tire. My LR E tires ride fine at 40-42 psi. Some guys air them up too hogh and the ride will suffer.

Love my dura trac and there severe duty snow rating
