I'm guessing they do use 3M tape....I read in the other thread they want you to use 3M 6396 Adhesive Promoter to install them.

Yes they come with a pretty large area of 3m tape. Seem to stick really well with the adhesion promoter.

I installed these on my 2014 Sierra Double Cab. Simple to do, took about 2 minutes. Looks good too! Here are the GM Part Numbers #23469126 & #23469127. They list for $14.37 each. I paid $9.48 ea for them.

I think if you ask the dealership, there is a Tsb to add these for free to prevent paint chipping. I'm going to ask at my next oil change
