Salsa Steve Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 So I'm planning on running bigger tires in the near future and was wondering how I would get the speedo fixed to reflect the change in tire size. I called the dealer I bought my truck from and the guy on the phone didn't sound too bright. What process did you guys do to correct it? Thanks!
muddy Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 You'll need something like this: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Performance-Parts/Speedometer-Odometer-Recalibration-Programmer.aspx?t_c=74&t_s=33&t_pt=6297&t_pn=HYP732501
SouthernSilveradoGuy85 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 You might be able to find an aftermarket shop that does lifts that would do it for free or for a small fee.
15greenz71 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I just got a 4 inch bds lift with 35s. I bought the hypertech speedometer calibrator off amazon for $200. Dealer wouldn't do it for me. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
Salsa Steve Posted April 9, 2016 Author Posted April 9, 2016 Thanks guys! It's my first truck and I was looking at getting the all terrain rims with some more aggressive looking tires and wasn't sure about the recalibration.

Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk I did not install the lift myself, but I did recalibrate the speedo myself. The ride quality is better than stock and I'm getting 18 mpg highway, while I was getting 21 mpg stock. I've got 3.08 gears too. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
