You will need however much it takes to make the trailer LEVEL while fully loaded. Every trailer and load is different.

I was planning on an adjustable hitch, 6 inch would be plenty right? Found a trimax razor for a good price.

I have a 5 inch drop on my B & W hitch with stock tires works fine, I don't really know what your pulling. Have you backed up to your trailer, leveled it up just to get a guesstimate . 6 inch should be enough but cant say for sure.

My trailer is in storage an hour away, it's a 10k lbs dump. I'm hoping to bring the hitch and bring the trailer home in one shot. That's why I was asking.
