2017 Ordering Specs are Live

Went live yesterday. Not too much new as expected. The K2's are lame duck dead man walking with the new truck on the way.

Things that jump out:

Capless fuel filling.

New step access options to the bed.

New teen driver mode.

Victory red is back but not on crew cabs

New green color for all trucks.

A few new colors for the Denali.

Auto braking now with lane assist at low speeds.

That's about it.

Anything about push button start?

I'm no expert but I would guess that is coming for 2018 or gm is a bunch of idiots

Why? I honestly could care less about push start. That's not a game changer for me. Turning a key isn't difficult.

regardless of whether you want it or how difficult it is to turn the key isn't the issue, you can ride a horse to work if that is what you like. The higher end trucks and cars are all getting push button along with a lot of other options gm is lacking (at least in the truck). So one would assume the next gen trucks should have some of these options. I'm not that overly excited about push start also, but for the price of the denali I think it should have more options and be on par with the other higher end trucks. (or offer more maybe) Denali should be denali or for example he higher end gm truck vs the higher end ford.

Not trying to start another thread about people not wanting options. There will be lower trim trucks available for everyone

A new generation already? The 400s were out for over a decade... The 800s were out for 8 years, the 900s for 6 years for the 1/2s, 7 for the 3/4 and 1 tons.. Why so soon on the K2s?

That's exactly what I said until we got my wife's Cadillac with the push button start and proximity door unlock. It's really nice to just leave the key fob in your pocket.

This is very nice and I had it on my Cruze. If you never have usee the keyless entry with push button start try it, most will change there minds. I'm hoping the next gen truck will have it.

I'm curious if you have ever tried it?

I haven't used a key in a regular vehicle for over 3 years. My Ram and Corvette neither use a key except in an emergency. It's so nice to walk up to your car or truck and just pull on the door handle and it unlocks and then just push the button and drive off. Even a lot of econoboxes have them.

It won't be a deal breaker but it will be like going back to a carburated vehicle after years of fuel injection.
