I wonder what it would take to add the automatic braking to a 2016. Hmm.

Money. Lots of it.

Praying for some rear amenities. Currently no vents back there is a joke.

I want the flat floor rear and vents in the back damn it.

Yeah, I really want flat floor in my next truck. Prior to buying my 2014 I test drove a Ford and that was a really nice feature, had I gone with a crew it would have been a huge incentive to go with Ford, but with the double cab, not as important.

Cool, definitely some noticeable differences in the All Terrain SLT Premium Package that I ordered with a few weeks ago.

for 2016, the All Terrain SLT Premium Package had:

- 20" Rims

- Front & Rear Park Assist

- Heated Steering Wheel

- Rear Sliding Window

- 6" Rectangular Chrome Tubular Assist Steps

for 2017:

- 20" Rims

- Front & Rear Park Assist

- LED Headlights

- Rear Sliding Window

- 4" Black Round Assist Steps

There is also a PEPPERDUST METALLIC colour now

I will also say that push start is a must. My wife has it on her '13 explorer and loves that she never has to take her key out of her purse.

Our(her) explorer also has a "teen driver" mode that you can program into the FOB. Sometimes when I want to be funny I do it and limit her speed/radio volume and she gets all confused. LOL

They should keep the push button start option for the LTZ and High Country trims only. If it's good enough for the 6.2L then it's good enough for that.

Get the parts from a Yukon and you're good to go.

I liked the PB start on the wife's car til the time I dropped her off and drove away with the only fob in her purse.

A co-worker of mine learned the hard way about the downside of keyless systems on his Range Rover. 40 below, locked out and $1400 to get back into his vehicle after they had to remove the back hatch to get in.

I wouldn't mind a keyless system but it should still have a key fallback.

Chev Impala has a backup way to open they door using the flip out key that is part of the FOB.

I'm surprised a Range Rover does not.

Maybe the pics and specs will be known but won't be in customers hands until at least Sept of 2018 if it is a 2019 model.

Looking at the 2014 K2 truck, the official production start was April of 2013 for the new 2014 models. That said, limited production started in early March of 2013. They were on the roads in Texas late March with 3/13 build dates on the doors. GM does not mess with getting new trucks on the market as their financial health depends on it. I would not see the new trucks being any different. You have to get them on the market fast before they get outdated.

I'm wondering what the engine options are going to be ?? Staying with V8's or some sort of turbo charged V6 ?

That we don't know but Alcoa has been contracted and will be shipping mass amounts of aluminum to GM right about the time the new trucks go in production. Hmmm...

All the features people wish for drive the vehicle price upwards. 1500 Denali 4wd will break $70,000 optioned out.

    • Are you going to take long trips in it?  If so, try out the seats in the various trims. For me the lower trim level seats were not comfortable.
    • I have a 2016 that I bought new and still own. I'm around 129,000 miles now. The biggest problem was a transmission failure about 2 years ago around 95000 miles. No warning, just failed while driving down a back road. A reman GM transmission installed and it's been fine ever since. A few other minor problems along the way. I am in no hurry to replace it. It's been paid off long ago and do plan on driving this as long as I can.   I will admit I am leery about all the additional electronics in the newer models and feel that it is just more potential problems. I think there's actually more than I would have wanted in this 2016 but so far so good. I think even if something major like lifter failure happened, it would still be cheaper to at worst, drop a new engine in than buy a new vehicle.
    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
    • Point of the post sir was that while both wages and cost are rising EVERYWHERE; the cost is rising faster EVERYWHERE than the ability to buy EVERYWHERE. We're not going down the location rabbit hole. I'm aware of what economic migration is. I've lived in four states including Texas.   It's what "Purchasing Power" means.   I'm not telling you what I think. I'm telling what the government, your government, data shows.   It wasn't an argument. It wasn't a suggestion. It was a statement of FACT. You are absolutely entitled to your own opinion. Your not entitled to your own facts. If you and I were, they wouldn't be facts.    fact /făkt/   noun Knowledge or information based on real occurrences. "an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy." Something demonstrated to exist or known to have existed. "Genetic engineering is now a fact. That Chaucer was a real person is an undisputed fact." A real occurrence; an event. "had to prove the facts of the case."
