94 K1500 4x4 - largest tires on stock build?

Hi,

 

I have a 1994 1500, I was thinking about lifting it and all but decided maybe it would be better just to buy larger tires -and rims potentially- to give it the larger look. Would any of you happen to know the largest tire that could fit? I've done some research online and found multiple answers that has not helped too much. This truck is not my daily driver but when I take it out once a week or every other week I'd like it to feel a bit taller ya know? Thanks for any and all answers.

 

On a second note - awhile ago I noticed some odd noise coming out from what sounds like the driver side wheel well area - almost like a metal jiggling noise? I did some research on that before and seemed like it wasn't an issue, but if anyone has any advice as far as that id appreciate that as well.

I ran 265/70r17s at stock height on my 98 Z71

It was a daily driver, and did just fine off-road and onroad..no rubbing or anything that I noticed

I chased a jingling noise on my 92 LF corner, turned out to be the shock. It was like a marble in a spray paint cat when you would shake it.

Check shock bolts. Mine were tight but I was able to get a half turn more and stopped annoying rattling of shock moving on bolt.

285/70/R17 BFG KO2 which come out to 32.7"

 

No rubbing issue unless cruising down rough forest trails and hit a large bump at speed the front tires will rub inner fender lip and cut tread a bit. This only happens when cycling front suspension over 70% of travel is my estimation. On street and casual off roading. No problem. Torsion bars at stock setting as it left the factory in 1997.

You should be able to run a 285/75/16 or 285/70/17.
