When looking for 2016 headlights to possibly purchase to install on my 2015, I am seeing many headlights advertised as "GMC SIERRA 1500 DENALI 2016 16 LH LED OEM HEADLIGHT LAMP ASSEMBLY 1424" or similar that have a chrome housing on the inside instead of black. I think i like them but i can't find a single pic on the internet with these exact lights in them. Does anyone know what model these actually come in? Or am I missing something?

I noticed that also. I've only seen the chrome bezel lights in one truck and I'm fairly certain it wasn't a denail. It was that Hunter green looking color truck.

I don't think the turn signals work correctly with the harness either. The harness is required for sle models that didn't have dedicated drl

This is correct. Last I heard from Ofer was it may be possible to shut the DRL off with a time controlled relay. He was supposed to test and let me know. That was a month ago and I just emailed him to check for updates.

Hi everyone we, at Gen5DIY, have come across 3, brand new in the box, sets of the 2016 GMC HD Headlights. These are not the "C" style, but are the 14/15 SLT style with HID's installed from GM. Price includes harness and shipping in the continental USA. $949.99

Well, after reading this thread, I took the plunge and bought a set of headlights for my Denali. I understand the repin and purchase of the connectors, but it's unclear wheather or not if I actually need the in-line resistors.

Just for the blinkers to prevent hyper flash. Same for the taillights if you do those. You will also need a capacitor on the headlight wires.

Are the harnesses to make the 2016 lights work with a 2014 SLT available? If so I'm interested in purchasing the harness. Also, will the harness work with the LED headlights our only the HID ones? Also, has any progress been made in getting the DRL to go out when the turn signal is on?

One more night pic that should help.

is that just low beams or low beams and fog lights?

Also, would it be possible to see a night picture comparing the low beams and high beams against the wall?

Also, anyone that had HID's in the stock housings that have gone to this setup. How do they compare? The headlights are literally the thing I hate the most about my 2014...

Correct, low beams only, no fog lights. The 16 SLT lights are simply amazing.

Yes, there is a harness to make the 2016 SLT lights work in a 2014 SLT. Yes the SLT lights are the LED lights. I haven't made any progress with the DRL shutting off.

Would something like this not work for what we are trying to accomplish?

I feel like the issue with this might be when you turn your headlights on the DRL go to half power and don't turn off with the turn signal.

I bought the retrofitsource switchback drivers which would be pretty much whats in that video but they never worked.

So does this conversion work or does it work with issues? Was thinking of doing this mod but for nearly 2 grand when it's all said and done they would need to work like factory for me to make the plunge.
