2016 SLT lights in 14/15 SLT/All Terrain almost done

They look sharp on there bud! Thanks for clarifying that. I'm assuming after digging around, that the led module is the big silver piece on the back. I saw a listing for one without the module, and the metal piece wasn't there. I found a set like new for 1450, I've about bought them twice now lol. I'm waiting to hear back from my question of whether they work or not since it doesn't actually say that anywhere in the listing. If that's all good then I'll join the upgrade club.

Thats actually a heat sink. Keep looking as there are cheaper lights out there. Check car-part.com, email some of this vendors or call asking for pics. A lot of them will text you pics etc.

Completed my swap.

With Zmnypit's help I didn't have to cut anything. He made up a harness from what we had and it worked perfect. Not sure why Gen 5 didn't just go that route from the start.

In progess:

On the left are my OEM 15 lights with 35W 5K HID's. Right is the 16 LED headlight.

All done:

Just low beams:

Just fogs:

This will only work with the 14-15 SLT trucks. The SLE's would need an external power source for the DRL.

You won't. That harness you have is excessive though. Also with that it forces the DRL on with the key not when placed in drive.

They are severly over charging for it.

I agree on the price. I've messed with some wiring and splicing on speaker components before, and I honestly just didn't want to sit down and work it all out as it's not my forte. Had a little extra play money after getting our roof fixed from the snow damage, decided to take the plunge. Found a used set with tabs for 350 a piece semi-local. Hoping they get here today.

Got them installed and everything is functioning properly. Took a test drive to the grocery store, all was well. Ride back from the store I had a check engine light on, any ideas?

Edit* remote start does not function either, lights blink once and you hear a click, but nothing. I think the check engine light is preventing this from working.

Edit edit* I'm thinking MAF sensor, going to unplug the battery tomorrow for a while and see what happens.

Easiest thing to do would be go use the free code reader at the auto parts store.

Yes remote start is disabled when the check engine light is on.

I don't know what your install entailed using that harness so whatever you messed with is a possible problem though the lights should have nothing to do with the engine.
