Anyone Remove Their Air Dam Off a 2016 Silverado 1500?

What does a 2016 Silverado look like with the air dam removed? also does that chrome piece under the tow hooks, is that on the bumper or air dam?

I think it looks stupid on silverados, decent on sierras. That chrome piece is part of the bumper

The chrome piece is just an add on. It's called a "skid plate".

I thinks the black plastic air dam is stupid too. I'm debating between a black 2016 LT Z71 and a Midnight. Id get a midnight but I likes the chrome front lower skid plate, But Still the LT midnight edition is the same as a regular LT z71 except for the rims and tires.

I was going to trim mine so it was level straight across, but I scrapped it up pretty good high enough to where even if I did trim it that you'd still see the scraps. So I just removed mine, but I have a '14. To me it looks weird with the ends lower than the rest. Maybe one day I'll buy a new one and trim it to how I want, but I'm not worried about it.

I removed the air dam 2 days after I bought my truck. The chrome piece is attached with tabs on the back that fit into slots in the lower bumper plastic.

This is exactly what I want to do to mine. Did this require any cutting? Is it removed via clips?

No cutting required. There’s about 15 screws holding the air dam on. Just takes a 7mm socket on a 1/4” drive ratchet.
