I did not disconnect the battery, installed in 15mins. Truck has awesome throttle response now. Only thing is my gas mileage went down. Should I continue driving ? or disconnect and reconnect the battery to reset everything??

You will need to also disconnect the right foot from the go pedal a bit to get your mileage back. It is an involuntary reaction and considered normal for approx 2 weeks after any performance oriented modification....

Very funny I asked a simple question to see what everyone else is experiencing. That's the point of a forum

I understand now that we need to dampen down the humor and stay real serious. sorry about my lapse there Dad

Here lets start over, (just ignore my previous humurous post)

I was looking at the thread because I am considering the Cold Air Induction (with the clear cover box cool as heck) I see on their installation instructions for the CAI that it says specifically NOT to unplug the MAF sensor (remove it still plugged in and swing to the side out of the way LEAVE PLUGGED IN) apparently if you unplug the MAF even with the battery disconnected it will cause computer issues. Did you happen to unplug your MAF???????

Not sure that ALL aftermarket intake systems specify not to unplug the MAF from the harness? Just seems to be a stretch that the tube itself will cause any significant changes in driveability there would seem to be more to this.......
