What can I say? I am more interested int Tops/Shells/Campers/ etc. than 6.2, 5.3, 4.9, 3.8's or whatever because what makes a truck a truck is the shell! NICE TOPPER! LEER matches paint better than any!

Well yes the paint color does match well and they even gave me a bottle of touch up paint. I will have to say the quality of the paint application was lacking in a few spots.

Ok, I had a little "gay" spot on my roof too by snugtop. We just did a road trip and stuffed it "family of 4" and I was thinking this normally creates problems for us with a car and Now I have like literally 25 CUBES of space left? I am glad I got the BED RUG though everything is now planted and quiet in the back end!

Hoping I can get some assistance here. I have a leer topper and the black wire going in to the terminal block (not sure that is the right word) under the emergency brake pedal has gotten l picked off. I'd like to know which of the 12 possible empty posts the wire goes on. I have no power at all my topper. It's a really simple task but I don't know which post it goes on. My topper has an interior light, 3rd break and a power outlet center.

the black wire is 99% chance of just a ground wire, try to ground it and see if the power comes back, When it work, did you have power all the time to the 12V power outlet in the cap? I am think of adding one, but it need to be live all the time.

I am in n the process of buying a used 2015 Leer cap for my 2014 1500 crew short box. On my 2012 and earlier trucks there were no caps on the side bed rails. The 2014 has caps there, is that a problem, do you have to remove the side bed caps to install the cap? How does it fit on the front, is there a gap there that you have to fill, since there is no cap at the front of the box. Also what about the cap on the tailgate, does that have to be replaced like on the 2012 truck?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Bout Time you get a topper!

Don't worry about the caps or the front of box without plastic on top rail....or the tailgate! LEER, Snuggie tops and ARE all made to drop right on top! All three decent....I still think LEER has better quality than ARE and somehow they match paint to a tee. Snuggie TOps are the best built hands down but they cost way more! Need a decent top to match and plan on keeping truck for few years get ARE.......

Had my leer for a few months now. There is a 2 inch rubber weatherstrip flap at the bottom of the rear door that hangs over the painted part of the tailgate. After several trips down dirt roads in the rain the grit got under that weatherstripping and rubbed right through the paint on the tailgate. So I would advise you either put a 2 inch 3m paint film on the top of your tailgate or trim most of the weather strip off so it doesn't contact the paint.

The use DuPont paint. So technically DuPont matches it.

Leer and Century are both made in exact same plant in California. Same company or one bought out the other. Same shit different pile.

Yup, if your looking for decent paint match and save some coin go with the LEER/Century!

If your looking to jump up and down on the top and possibly have a tree limb fall on your precious topper get the Snugtop!

Once you go topper boys you never go back!

Maybe what I posted does not make sense to you and you still are not understanding me in saying that you can turn the dome light on&off at the back of the truck (aka as the bed or tailgate area or Taillights) AND OR turn them on&off in the cab. Meaning you do not have to only turn them on in the cab. I hope that makes more sense?

Wired this way means you can use it either way. Its a huge benefit wiring it this way. The lights will turn off with all your other truck lights after a few minutes when you lock the truck & they will turn off as soon as you put the truck in drive! if you physically forgot to turn off your dome light *instead of leaving them on all night or after a long night you forgot to turn off the dome light and start driving then you have bright leds shinning in your review mirror*

Again you can turn them on&off in the Bed or in the cab!

This is what I'm wanting.

So my Leer cap has the sliding window in the front glass. Even when fully closed it rattles like crazy which is very apparent when I have my rear sliding window on the truck open. I also noticed when I have the slider in the front window of the cap open if I go around a corner it slams shut on its own.

Anyone else have these issues and figure out a solution?
