What do you always keep in your truck and how do you store it?

Tow straps & trailering equipment (some other emergency stuff, first aid kit) in a storage lockbox in the bed of my truck. I have it bungeed to one of the rear loops near the tailgate on passenger side.

 

Jumper cables, under the hood of my trucks in a battery box mounted on the driver side, on the extra battery mounting plate.

 

4 pistol magazines, mounted and locked away in the cab of trucks, extra pocket knife, extra set of my LEO credentials in case I forget mine on the way out the door and belt clip badge.

 

Fire extinguisher mounted under my rear seats, and one mounted in the truck beds on the driver side, right behind the cab.....That's about everything off the top of my head.

where and how did you mount the pistol mags?

I realized I forgot some things but here's a photo of how I rearranged everything yesterday. Not as organized as I'd like but it works:

 

 

 

I'm working on a mounting solution for the ABC if anyone has any advice/ideas.

An "ABC" rated fire extinguisher. Trash, wood, liquids, and electrical.

Hey guys, I have been trying to fill up my underseat storage / toolbox with helpful stuff. I have put all of the regular stuff in there (tools, jumper cables, lifestraw, firearm, ect) and was hoping yall had some more ideas.

Bottle jack, rope, chain, flares, flashlight, hitch bits (pins, pulls, etc), trailer tools, bulbs, bit of wire, duck tape, jumper cables, medical kit, gloves, rain poncho (small disposable, umbrella, electrical tape and connectors, fuses, quart of oil, lugnut lock, small tool kit (screwdrivers, pliers, common wrenches, knife, etc), hand trowel, inflator, tire gauge, *ehem* tire iron, serpentine belt, shorts n shirt, hat (I'm bald), trailer locks, chock blocks, I dunno what else.

Way too much to list what I have in my underseat storage and bed toolbox which is not low-pro. Let's just say both is full so a low-pro toolbox wouldn't be enough room and wouldn't shut. Oh and I also have the bench seat with the 3rd seat in the middle. The center console is almost full and the storage under the console is also full. I have enough stuff to where I'm sure all the weight lowers my MPGs a tad bit, but oh well lol.

the underseat box.. I like it.

the old style gmt400, must have to make it on my own.

 

I keep a 63cc generator, a mig welder, full tools, jack, a thick tow rope for a boat, trucks, cars.

drills, sawzall, cutoff wheel and..

I should take some of that back out.

A funny thing I encountered was bumping up to LT tires..the little gauge needs to be tractor trailer sized for 80psi

 

No place to put it but the rear trays or my own tool box.

Something is missing, I feel, in all of them.

 

custom storage for most all of it, with bins etc.

Guess that is the way it is.

A very old habit, as in from 1970s-80s stuff... a spare relay in the center dash spot.

Don't need to do that anymore.

 

I also keep lysol in a spray bottle(not a propellant can) to fit in the rear trays.. never leave home without it.

I use a good heavy duty kydex paddle holster (not those flimsy Fobus junkers) works great attached to the drivers door in front of the cup holders. It is very easy to reach the mags if needed and there are no permanent modifications done to the truck, just clip the holster on and your set. They are out of the way but easily accessible if you would need them and they are not visible from the outside of the vehicle if someone were looking through the window. The only time they are visible is when the door is open.

I just picked up a metal gas can. I smoke, but have a hard top tonneau. I'm not gonna blow myself up am i? / does anybody else keep gas back there
