Leather conditioner

Any input on what is a good leather conditioner for the black leather?

In my 14 you can see where it's starting to wear a little and the stuff I using (can't think of the name at the moment) almost seems to lighten the leather after a while.

Beat me to it!

I've been using it on my 2011 Camaro for years. It smells fantastic and works well. The leather in the Camaro sucks but that's irrelevant for the caring of it.

I agree with those guys. That is the only thing I used on my GMC Acadia and my 2015 Chevy Tahoe. I wouldn't use anything else.

I only use Adam's products as well, in reality though it wont do a thing to the leather in an GM or Ford product. The leather both of them use is top coated with a sealed topcoat that doesn't allow the leather condition to even get into the actual leather.

+1

Adam's is great stuff. But, the leather is indeed coated with a protective upper layer in these vehicles for durability. It's not a high-grade leather that will absord the product. It will give the seats a temporary sheen and smells awesome. Either way never hurts to slather some on there.

Lexol is an excellent product to use, easy to apply and wipe off and easy to find. I use it to wipe my steering wheel and door panel areas since its quick and clean.

If you want to get into something a bit better, leatherique and leather masters are incredible but my favorite is CarPro CQuartz. Leatherique is a PITA to do because it has to sit for 48 hours and leaves a very strong overpowering smell of leather but leaves they incredible soft once you finally get all of it off. It can also be very messy. Used leatherique from the first week in my bmw and a year later (about 35k miles) it didn't have a wrinkle. Then used leather masters and same results but less mess and hassle, maybe not as soft as leatherique. Leather masters is made for top coated leather and leaves a very matte finish but does not dry the seat out. It is essentially water based rather than oil based (Leatherique is oil based). Sold the car after 3 years with 100k miles and leather looked brand new. In my moms car, I have been using CarPro CQuartz and it is by far my favorite. It an excellent product that keeps the leather hydrated and helps protect against stains and contaminants without clogging the pores of the leather. If you'd like, I think I have some leatherique left I can send you if you'd like to try it out. I don't use it anymore since my car has vinyl seats ( :tear: ) and my mom doesn't care for her car enough for me to put in 3 days of work on the leather lol. Let me know, I have to just make sure I have some but have no issue sending you some if you just pay the shipping.
