Anybody using the clear tint on windshield or tint? Any pics??....

confused why would u use clear tint ?

Because it blocks out a large part of the UV rays from entering and damaging the interior, etc without impeding visability.

I would have loved to do Llumar clear or really light tint on my front windshield but NH has inspection stickers that go on the window. When you go in for a yearly inspection you'd have to scrape it off ruining the tint. Sucks.

My front window came 70% tinted from the factory.

I called my local glass shop and they were telling me about it... 150 bucks but its clear not tinted and according to her it blocks 65-70 percent of uv rays, but what I want is a darker look from the front.. dont care for the uv rays lol

I have clear tint on my windshield, it does help keep it cool in the summer. When I go out to my car later i can take a couple of pictures inside and out.

I originally wanted it dark too. At first I was going to do 5% tint on everything but the front windshield. All the shops I chatted with wouldn't do it, 15% was darkest.

 

Honestly, after driving a few weeks I don't think I'd go down to 5%. If I ever went with anything on the windshield it wouldn't be much, maybe 50% but more likely 70% if they offered it. Pain in the ass seeing out of it at night on any country roads.

 

On the plus side, the left/right and back are all basically pitch black at night so the lady isn't as nervous about laying down in the front seat. To relax of course.

Can you tell the difference from the ouside looking inside? I had the the lightedt one possible and could only see my hand on the steering wheel.. thats what I want basicly

I wish I could get mine tinted, but we have window stickers here in Texas for the windshield. I'm sure I'd ruin the tint every time I got a new sticker.

A good tint shop will cut a hole the size of the sticker. In PA we have stickers on the windshield and I have a hole just for the sticker

I have 75% on mine. $140

Lightest at the shop was 85%
