50% on windshield. Its really hard to capture how it looks from the inside looking out. This pic makes it a bit darker than it actually is. My drivers side window there is 38% for comparison.

Yea i understand. I had 20% layed over the factory tint on the rears which makes it about 5%, so ive been told. I couldnt imagine puttting 5% over factory tint lol.

I honestly think youd most likely be ok with 50% but i would not go any darker. I personally was hoping to go with 70 or lighter but the few shops i asked they wanted at least 300 bucks. I found a quality shop who uses quality tints they did all my tints. Windshield itself was 120.

I also live in a surburan area so usually street lights around. I do travel up north to the country several times a year. No complaints. I can see forwards and side to side but not out the rears LOL

Yeah I have 5 % over the factory and its dark back there lol..

I have 2 layers of 5% on the 2 un tinted front windows and a layer of 20% and 5% percent on the rear factory tinted windows and 20 percent on the shield.. Blocks the sun from coming in!

Here's 30% on the front 3 windows with the 5% strip on the front, 5% on the side passenger windows, and 2 layers of 5% on the back windshield all over the factory15/20% on the back 3 windows.

So question, if I decide to get my front done what would you all recommend for me to get? I currently have the stock tint on the rear doors and rear slider ( don't see a need to get those darker ) and matched the front doors to the rear tint so I am even all around. I don't want really dark on the windshield, but enough to block out the sun some what. The Texas sun can be brutal...

You put on 2 layers of 5% tint on your driver and front pass windows? Shit man how do you see out? Thing must be pitch black.

If you want to really block the UV rays from the sun and the solar heat, you want to ask for 3M crystalline tint. I have it in my truck and car all the way around with the CR 70 on the windshield and CR 40 on the sides. Look it up on Youtube to see how well it works. Here in Phoenix it gets hot and this is the ticket to help stay cool. Its more expensive than other tint, but its worth the investment.

Thanks for the tip, that's exactly what I am looking for. The sun can get brutal at high altitude but these old eyes need to be able to see out the side windows on a dark night. Crystalline looks like the perfect solution

Any issues looking through with polarized sunglasses? Not sure if you get the rainbow effect, might lead to headaches
